Amartey Signs

Right, he played CB at Djurgardens, but honestly his best position is CM given his stamina and other skills (e.g. that 95' minute run to draw a peno).

he may well be another Eric Dier, started as a CB but found his way to his best position, we shall see

bit of a weird example considering he'd been on the pitch for about 3 minutes.

Is there a match report for that? Honestly didn't know if he was a sub or not, assumed he started...

Really wish he scored yesterday, I dont think he expected the Sunderland players to shit themselves and give him a free shot on goal. Looks good, but will take time.

I like his versatility. Cant imagine we'll see him much at RM next season.

Yes, I thought his miss was not down to his finishing ( he recognised the gap in the left of the goal and have shaped his body to stuck the ball well) but for the fact he spent too long on the ball which allowed Mannoe to spread himself out. This is not a criticism especially as he is not a striker and Ulloa did same lot of time recently however I do think it is a good thing that Amartery has the spatial awareness to aim for the left instead of hit and hope.

When I opened this thread and saw the first post that stated he is 21  :jawdrop:

P.S Where is that Schlupp emoji???

I think the Eric Dier comparison is an excellent one. I think we want him to play that role in a 4-1-4-1 formation with full backs who are comfortable attacking, Kante & DD in front of him and Mahrez and possibly Ousmane Dembele or Ahmed Musa making it a 4-3-3.
