I like the way we've gone from getting a massive boner at the possibility of signing this guy to openly abusing him over the period of 72 hours!

A lot of us never wanted him here in the first place. There are plenty of reasons to think he wouldn't cut it here and if he doesn't want to come here, it makes it a certainty.

He's having medical at Inter tomorrow apparently. It's done and I think we are on to other targets already

I know but can you remember when we did that with Veretout lol

we should have made an offer he couldn't refuse just shows being top of the league means nothing

Maybe the thought of uprooting his family? you know some people aren't all about the money abet not many footballers but if he wants to make the Italian squad for the euros he will need to play in Italy for one of their top clubs.

Of course it means nothing! we haven't won anything or even qualified for Europe yet it isn't an appealing move when you have the likes of Inter Milan sniffing about.

It means something but it takes years and even decades to build up a reputation.

If Sassuolo were top of the Serie A a highly rated English player wouldn't be walking over broken glass to join them. Montpellier won Ligue 1 four seasons a go and top players wouldn't be falling over themselves to join them either.

The fact that we're competing with Inter Milan and Man Utd for players is something we never dreamed of but players generally aren't going to turn their noses up at clubs like those to join Leicester.

Just be glad that we're trying to get players above our station and are heading in the right direction. It wasn't that long a go when we were competing with clubs like Barnsley for players.

I can see the conversation now with his Mrs... "I've got to choose between living in Milan and living in Leicester".... it's not going to end well for him choosing the latter is it. lol

"I know you're happy living in Italy darling, but it's Leicester, what's not to like?" lol

He's 29 and prob has a young family he doesn't want to up root and move to a new country and has a offer from maybe not at the moment but a giant of a club in Italy.

I wonder if anyone thought to ask him his (or his agent's) views before we wasted so much time and effort! Hope we're not going to keep going to and fro to Italy just because we've got an Italian manager. Who the hell would want to leave the sunshine, skiing and scenery of Italy for the rain and drizzle of England anyway? lol

He seemed interested in coming from the first radio interview he did, unfortunately Inter popped up after we bid... not much we can do about that.

People talk about these signings like they're going to live in St matthews .Leicestershire is seen as a very good place to live with great links to the capital .Lots of multi millionaires chose to live here when they can base themselves anywhere in the world. Now picking Inter over City fair enough.

Point is... it's not Milan.

Ummm - I meant something like speaking to the player himself, with permission of course, or his agent. I've always thought person to person was a sound start. Guess I'm just old fashioned.

He has already packed his bags for Inter 0 chance of him coming here

How do you know? Is there a live feed?
