SheppyFox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Not seen him a great deal but when I have he's been useless, having said that I guess it could be coincidence.
Grey Fox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 So not good enough for Southampton (hence why they signed Austin as Pelle had done nothing of note all season) yet good enough for us? 9 league goals in his last 39 league games is not someone we need on the books really is it. Nah, not for me. This for me.
HoustonFox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 I actually think IF this happens, it could be a good signing. Southampton hit people on the break last season and with Albrighton's crossing, he would get good service. Good passer too actually. Saying all that, lazy journalism I think with our being in for him before last season, just digging it back out.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Hes just one of them players who hit the ground running when he signed for the saints and scored a hat full in the first third of last season which made everyone take notice. People are remembering him from back then. You take that small period of time at the start out of the equation and his stats say he is bang average at best.
LCFC FOX Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 We don't need him. Someone fast and can finish please
GaelicFox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Id rather have ulloa. It's a game of opinions , that's cool I can live with ulloa
jammie82uk Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Didn't we try to sign him before he went Southampton? Not bad for the price but it's not really what we need. yeah we was he went Southampton because of koeman and we ended up with ulloa
Kitchandro Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 He's a rich man's Ulloa. He's ok but frankly I think he's at his level at Southampton. He's not a top 6 player and that's who we should be looking to bring in now.
GaelicFox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 And his hair is immaculate, we need some decent hair in the ranks He is a seriously well groomed man ! Infact I quite fancy him !
Monsell1976 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Steady player, been injured a lot this season
americanfox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 He's a rich man's Ulloa. He's ok but frankly I think he's at his level at Southampton. He's not a top 6 player and that's who we should be looking to bring in now. If we were interested in Pelle, we should have just went harder after Chaz.

But we only are looking for a 15 game boost/solution and really the players we need are summer signings usually All we need is a nice little helping hand that won't ask fortunes in wages ! He would be a decent signing on Those terms

Bit of a chicken and eggs situation maybe but you can't really expect a striker to keep banging them in when the rest of the team isn't at it.
filbertstreet Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 If we were interested in Pelle, we should have just went harder after Chaz. still time to sign his mate dave
roblcfc84 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Not wanting to cause a stir but theres a lot of talk of we need top 4\6 players - get a feeling a few of us have delusions of grandeur at the minute. Pelle is a solid PL player with a decent scoring record. Let's get real individually we have 3 at most top 4\6 players - our success this year is built on something different. Not saying he is my preferred choice but at 5 mil certainly good value.
Steve Earle Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Let's not kid ourselves, Pelle would have been first choice or at least preferred when we signed Ulloa and would be an upgrade now. If he were to be the only additional signing in the rest of this window then sure, that'd be underwhelming. But wouldn't we take him and, say Musa, and all be dancing on the tables?
steveherbe Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Like him, good player, ripped us to pieces last season. May have gone off the boil this season but maybe needs a new challenge- and some decent players around him.
lgfualol Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 I always see Southampton fans slating him. He's really inconsistent. However, he is probably better than Ulloa and doesn't look like a lesbian either. Would be disappointed if we end up with him instead of Musa or someone fast. We can't be dealing with 2 of our strikers being slowpokes.
NewquayFox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Top of the scale to the bottom half in a day, get Ahmed in and let's be done with all this buffonery... Up the Titty....
HoustonFox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 He's a rich man's Ulloa. He's ok but frankly I think he's at his level at Southampton. He's not a top 6 player and that's who we should be looking to bring in now.I can't believe I'm reading a Foxes fan writing this...such arrogance. Just so you can compare where Southampton were this time last season... http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/2349300-barclays-premier-league-table-updated-2015-epl-outlook-after-week-23-results Not wanting to undermine what we have achieved so far this season but we would have been third this time last year. To me that shows the league is a more level playing field and we have to take advantage
filbertstreet Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 However, he is probably better than Ulloa and doesn't look like a lesbian either. so he does
ARM1968 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Yeah. Right. If this happens I'll eat 2Kgs of paella.

Him and someone like Musa would be great. But if it's one or the other I'd pick Musa. Also I'm slightly confused why that if we wanted a player of this type, why didn't we just go for Austin?
Steve Earle Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 That is a tad confusing, especially as there seems to be a widespread understanding that we offered Saints £12m for Austin in the summer. But our playing style has evolved & progressed under Ranieri. Maybe a pure goal hanger/scorer no longer fitted? Pelle is more mobile, more of a target man than Austin (& or Ulloa) and may do a job for 18/30 months. As long as it's not just him...!
