Kitchandro Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I can't help thinking we're going after strikers who we wanted in the summer. The goalposts have moved with us being top now, we obviously expected to be lower midtable and that's the sort of calibre of player we were scouting. But instead of changing our targets accordingly we've stuck to what we know. I've not really been impressed with the sort of names we've been linked with in the main. Maybe we need to ditch all the in depth research for once and go all out for a really god player who previously may have been out of our reach but who we can attract now we're top of the league and looked nailed on for the Champions League.

I don't buy that our scouting team haven't got a number of options for a variety of scenarios. They're pro's. And lest we forget their strategy so far hasn't served us too badly...!
