chicagofox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Vardy is playing with a niggle If he get injured we have no credible alternative Someone has messed up ! Rudkins career with us could be on line ! Claudio wanted a striker and someone at the club didn't deliver. Have we made a fatal error and damaged our hopes of champions league football ? Wow! Perspective. Look up that term and then start to apply some.
Guest MattP Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I really feel for Ranieri tonight, he made it clear he wanted a striker and they didn't deliver. Whether it was the money men not stumping up a few extra million or the people working behind the scenes he really deserved this after the job he has done this season. After Stoke I started to believe we could win the league for the first time as I thought we're still here and we are about to strengthen, now we need to pretty much stay totally injury free to give ourselves a small chance.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Although I think we really might be kicking ourselves that we didn't get a backup striker, we do have a very balanced squad and not making any big signings or ones with huge wage demands means the status quo is maintained and the players we already have know the club have total faith in them. Hopefully that'll spur them on for the remainder of the season Another plus - we didn't lose Vardy or Mahrez. We said we weren't selling and they're still here, excellent
chicagofox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Rudkin is the source of much concern His track record is looking a little dodgy Please expand on this. If you can, which I'm not sure you can cos it's complete BS.

A very small chance - are you aware that we are 3 points clear of every other team in the Prenier League?
Webbo Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Why does it have to be somebody's fault? We're linked with lots of players and we're accused of panicking, We don't sign a striker someone's not doing their job. Whatever had happened someone on here would have been calling it a disaster. We're still in exactly the same position we were before.
possiblygeorge Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 There is every chance the last few months could be the reverse of last season if things don't go our way...
Webbo Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 There is every chance the last few months could be the reverse of last season if things don't go our way... There's a better chance that it won't.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I believe if we were that desperate for a striker, we wouldn't have loaned Kramaric out and would have bought a lot earlier in the window. I always see Deadline Day as a mass panic.
Guest MattP Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I'm not saying it's a disaster. I just feel like we'll probably never be in the position again, our manager wanted a top class striker and we couldn't get him one. Anyway it's done now, let's hope we can still pull this off with the squad we have.
chicagofox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 There is every chance the last few months could be the reverse of last season if things don't go our way... And that's based on what?
GaelicFox Posted 1 February 2016 Author Posted 1 February 2016 Wow! Perspective. Look up that term and then start to apply some. Wow thanks you my life is fulfilled
GaelicFox Posted 1 February 2016 Author Posted 1 February 2016 I think CR will be really pissed with this ! He clearly said he gave Rudkin a list of names and Rudkin failed to deliver one ! Maybe Chelsea will sieze on this and try have him back ?
WesMorganGod Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 No not at all. we don't need no striker. Vardy is 100% totally fit, he had a slight problem last month which he has a small operation on to fix, nothing at all wrong with him now. its fixed. Fresh and ready to go as we all saw against Stoke. People are wanting players just for sake of it, but I think its more because we haven't played for 12 days so people get bored and want something to focus on. Its been a great window for me.. we kept on to Vardy and Mahrez which was the only important thing.
matty98 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 This team got us this far, they deserve the chance to see out the season, no matter where we finish.

And still have 15 games to go The manager made it clear he wanted a striker And supplied Rudkin/club with a list of names None have been signed Of course someone is at fault

This Will all the moaners be on here eating humble pie if their doom and gloom doesn't come to fruition? Will they ****! But if City end up 2nd, they'll be on here going "I told you so". "We should've signed ________* " * insert name of their fantasy player. God knows what they'll be like if we end up 3rd or 4th! I daren't think what the 'moaners reaction will be like if we end up below 4th, they'll be picketing the club. Me? Looking forward to tomorrow night, I'll be signing my heart out supporting the team.

I've striker as support Where is that changing the team ? Don't be crying around Stamford bridge if we miss out on title because we had to play schlupp up front for last 3 games !

Maybe Chelsea will sieze on this and try have him back ? You sound as if you'd actually enjoy that Who knows what Claudio said to Rudkin, if we were that desperate we'd have pulled a Beckford up from somewhere. Grown up decisions have been made about this, its not the Latin American soap you think it is

Without "moaners" FT would die Debate and concern isn't moaning !
The Doctor Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 This team got us this far, they deserve the chance to see out the season, no matter where we finish. Why do people keep saying this as if it's in any way relevant? Of course, but no one has said tear up the team for one last tilt, they've said that we needed to bring in a couple of reinforcements just to ensure that any potential damage to this team won't be terminal. Which is obvious, and was clearly held by the manager as well given our public desire for a striker.

Grown up decisions have been made about this, its not the Latin American soap you think it is It totally is Javier has just taken Rosetta in his arms and said "Buy me a striker" Rosetta said to Javier "Sorry dear I have a budget and if I break it I get no bonus" It's a soap opera of epic proportions ! It's why we love it
Bettsj2 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 So now the Falcao move hasnt happened, could we still loan Remy when the loan window opens?

If we applied Matties logic we would never have signed Huth or Cambiassio and we would be playing Bolton away tomorrow in championship ! Daft think to say matt98 So now the Falcao move hasnt happened, could we still loan Remy when the loan window opens? WTF ? A loan window ?

We failed to bring in a striker which was clearly a necessity, of course someone is to blame. It really shouldn't come down to the last few hours of this deadline day, we've had plenty of time to negotiate a deal.
