BigMicky Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 They don't play with two upfront. Plus Chelsea have Remy Pato and Costa, Walcott can play ST Son played upfront for Leverkusen. Neither do we. How many games has Remy played? Pato hasn't played since November. Walcott is terrible as a lone striker, Spurs play 1 upfront and Son has played a handful of cup games.
CosbehFox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Massive Feck up ! a gamble on a scale that's incredible to comprehend so it's not a gamble , nobody gambles like this They wanted a striker , it didn't happen so for me it's a serious serious Fcuk up ! Someone Fcuked up and in a massive way ! Ranieri certainly didn't help matters by publicly declaring that we were after a striker. However, I do think whose willing to play a support role to Vardy at the moment? Foreign clubs notoriously hard to deal with in January taking advantage of the TV deal we have here and the hectic nature of the window. We had a go st two English based players and neither club wanted to do a deal. Oh well let's move on
GaelicFox Posted 1 February 2016 Author Posted 1 February 2016 Only a Leicester City fan could post a have we really messed up topic when we are top of the league in February with a real chance of winning the league since my first match back in March 63. The understanding and patience of our fans is at an all time low with the number of know all critical negative posters spouting their immense knowledge of the game. Many of you don't deserve such a great club as Leicester City, this season has been absolutely brilliant, let's have a bit if positive thinking, if we are left with three strikers, so be it. I accept that this year is a fantastic opportunity, but let's have a bit of faith in the owners and management and players. I read a lot of posts and basically am ashamed of many of our so called fans. My last major comment was the back end of last March when we looked doomed. Have a little faith in the team or support somebody else. It's a valid question and totally entitled to be debated Have we messed up ? Time will tell ! But until father time has his stay we can debate it till the cows come home And don't need some Arse ruining our debate ! If ya can't have a little chewing of the cud on transfer deadline day what the hell are we doing following football.

I hope your Right And deep down I think you might be right
AjcW Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Just a little bit of a positive spin on this..... - We've kept a very very together squad... together - No one coming in to disrupt that - Gray can and will play up front if necessary - Dodoo can and will play up front if necessary - Both are young and desperate to impress and pacey as ****! - Amartey is in, he's going to be another Kante I can just feel it - Okazaki in the last few games has shown what he can really do, scoring goals and playing really well. - ..... whisper it quietly but as always Leo put in a shift against Stoke and poked a goal in... that's all he needs to do you know - At the very very very worst we can sign someone on a free transfer. - Arsenal and Man City are equally as ****ed without their star striker.... oh yh..... and we're still top.
Webbo Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 We tried for players, we didn't get them, that's life. No one's to blame. What will be will be.
oohaahmustafa Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Sir Kramalot never played anyway so we aren't really losing out on a striker. I'm not worried.

And also, Kramaric Is on a recall so if we get injuries we bring back a lad whose match sharp after virtually a year without a run of games. I also think we could well go 4231 with kante and amartey bossing it in front of the back 4 with Drinkwater playing further up and playing in vardy mahrez and Gray. It's really not all bad. Chin up chaps

We debate things and express opinions if you don't like it maybe you shouldn't come onto the forum.
Nickfosse Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Could also say, the last time we went scatter gun bidding for strikers on deadline day, we ended up with Beckford God bless him.
goose2010 Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Financial risk ? Are you mad We are going to earn about 250m over next couple of years ! financial risk LOL So you'll chuck 10% of that which we don't actually have yet at and unproven player from a league that you wouldn't rate top 5 in Europe yep it's a financial risk! Remind me never to go in to business with you!
Nickfosse Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 And Tom hopper scored for Scunthorpe the other day so we could always....oh hang on ....
baldeagle Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I'd rather sign no one than sign another overly priced flop because we're desperate like we did last year with Kramaric . Prices in January are always notoriously in general over the top

I read a lot of posts and basically am ashamed of many of our so called fans. My last major comment was the back end of last March when we looked doomed. Have a little faith in the team or support somebody else. Obviously the fact that somebody, or a group of people, have got something right for a long time doesn't mean that they'll never get it wrong. From a territorial perspective, Hitler was doing just swell until 1939 but he still managed to end up dead in a bunker with his empire in ruins about him. Something similar happened to Peter Taylor in March 2001, a month which we began in 4th place. In other words, I see no reason why people should avoid questioning decisions made by the club, purely because they've got a lot of stuff right up to now. We'd have been wise to be a lot more aware of the fragility of our position back in 2001, just as Villa would have been when they were on the same points as us now back at the end of January 2010, or whenever it was. Where did they end up? 6th? How would we feel about today's lack of activity if that were to be our fate? If people think something has been mishandled, it would seem to be in keeping with the logic of a forum for them to mention it. It doesn't mean they'll roundly boo the side when they walk out, nor will they try to instigate a brutal Ranieri/Rudkin/King Power-out campaign. So I see little to be gained from encouraging people to restrict their thoughts and idle chatter to matters which exclusively reflect well on the running of the club. For a start it would be unbelievably boring.
bluebeau Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 He staying with Bethleham till the summer John the Baptist was offered but he doesn't like crosses ! Yes & they said they couldn't fly the owners helicopter from London to Leicester. Why didn't they call on Poncious the Pilot!
Guest Manini Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 This is so typically Leicester haha. Top of arguably the best division in the world, people on here saying how much of an attractive option to players we are now...sign no one Only we could cock it up like that, I think it's funny more than anything. I've loved every second of this season so far and I'm really excited about the prospect of seeing Grey and Amartey help us finish in as strong as a position as possible. Don't care what anyone says about disappointment, we all have our personal opinions of how we'd like to finish this year, nobody, not one person can say they would have expected this season to turn out like this. Just enjoy it, because chances are it'll never happen again.
Berlinfox Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 Yep, the owners of this club have probably messed up again just like they did when they appointed that past-it clown Ranieri as manager. They haven't got a clue about football or business. I mean just look at their record in both fields - pathetic.

dylanlegend Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 At least we have this fella: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3427110/Christian-Fuchs-loving-life-high-flying-Leicester-City-m-not-like-dress-Santa.html
FerrisBueller Posted 1 February 2016 Posted 1 February 2016 I'm annoyed we didn't sign anyone, mainly because we were linked with so many decent names. On the other hand I'm excited to see more from Gray, he's looked pretty useful so far, and I've got a great feeling about Amartey too!

Rudkin is the source of much concern His track record is looking a little dodgy Owners and CR aren't behind this I guess ! It will all come out eventually
