Grewks Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Yes they're big, but not as important as some are making out.....in fact they only become important if we win both. The games are far bigger for arsenal and man city, given that they still have to play each other and spurs. Even if we lose both, we are a maximum of 3 points off the pace, the exact same position as arsenal and man city.....but with the exception as us having played all our games against 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
FireFox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 They're massive games. Must win games. Win both, and we're AT LEAST 6 points clear of Manchester City and 8 points clear of Arsenal. We would also be at least 5 points clear of Spurs, and that's if the beat Man City, who we'd then be 9 points clear of.

ozleicester Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Ahh but we still havent played the top sides.
FireFox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 No they're not. They're must not lose games for man city and Arsenal though. If we take 2 points and Man City take 4, then we only have a 1 point lead, but I guess we'll probably still go on to win it. Ahh but we still havent played the top sides. This season, we'll have never played anyone who was at the time above us in the league.

Aus Fox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Ahh but we still havent played the top sides. On a Tuesday night, with a full moon, when a cat ran on the pitch...
Aus Fox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Also is we win them both Aston Villa are mathematically out of the title race!
SystonFox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Also is we win them both Aston Villa are mathematically out of the title race! Queue a "teams that can no longer catch us" thread SLASH spreadsheet
st albans fox Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Ranieri is an old pro The mantra will be 'not lose'
EnglishOxide Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 No they're not. They're must not lose games for man city and Arsenal though. Exactly. 2 draws and I'd be delighted. Just got to hope Spurs drop some points too.
Benji Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 We could lose both and still win the league. They are not must win.
Max Power Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Pressure is all on those two. Couple of draws will be golden but we have every chance
Guest kristianity77 Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Whether we win the title or not doesn't depend on these two games against City and Arsenal. It depends on how good we are at despatching the lower sides in our favourable 9 game run after these fixtures. That is what will decide it for me.
simon789us Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Would be over the moon with 2 points from these 2 games but we would still be right in it if we lost both
Izzy Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Ranieri is an old pro The mantra will be 'not lose' Park. That. Bus....twice...
SecretPro Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Exactly. 2 draws and I'd be delighted. Just got to hope Spurs drop some points too. I wish Spurs would just **** off. I hate them beyond compare.
Captain... Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 I wish Spurs would just **** off. I hate them beyond compare. That Spurs win is looking massive at the moment. Getting 2 draws would be huge anything more would just be unbelievable.
Superpants82 Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 I think playing our run after feb will prove a bigger test as others have mentioned, we play teams needing the points fighting for survival or pushing for Europe. Definitely capable of doing the business. I thought we were a little of pace last night the passing and possession was off, I believe that win will take us into city away and we will play to our full potential and hopefully give them a rough ride and get a win but would happily take a draw away at city.
Far Post Gerry Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Two or more points and I'll be very happy
SonicBoom Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Saints fan here. Went to the trouble of registering to really just say good luck for your run in. We are teams of broadly similar size and I think that's why there is so much good will on the south coast towards you this season. We had a decent run last year and were in the top 4 until January so we know how hard it is to keep it up. You guys seem to be flying along. I was watching the Saints/Arsenal game last night in the pub and your score kept flashing up. There wasn't a person in there that didn't seem to want Leicester to go on and win the league. Vardy is obviously on fire (although he has done it for enough games in a row now for his form not to be considered a hot streak) but Mahrez seems to be the key ? He looks an incredible player and I hope you can keep him beyond this year. Believe me despite how we are portrayed we are not a selling club but when the big teams start offering stupid money those players soon want to leave and there's not much you can do. I guess you're probably aware that everyone outside the top 4 clubs are willing you to go on and finish the job. I think I would even go as far as to say I'd gladly lose to you if it means you stay on track for the title. Particularly if it meant that you stop Spurs from winning it because god knows, no one in football wants that!

DJ Barry Hammond Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Good lad Sonic - always liked your earlier computer games (before you got all corporate sellout-ie), so your comments above are very appreciated! Thanks also to your clubs great work against Arsenal.
