steflcfc Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 Unfortunately the top 4 mentality regarding players is still a thorn in England's side. And the reason we won't get past the quarters. An injured Wilshire and Sturridge shouldn't even be considered for the Euros when they have not played much all season. Cresswell and Noble at West Ham are both enjoying great seasons and will also not be in contention, along with a few other players The sooner Woy gets away from this big club mentality, and starts picking players who are playing well for their respective clubs regardless of league position we may get start to get somewhere. it's alright saying their wont be much experience in the squad, but the usual names that crop up every tournament haven't got us hitting the heights we'll want. It should be time for a younger team who can get the experience they need now!

Drinkwater deserves to be in there and Albrighton might have half a sniff although I actually think he only operates at about 70% of his capability when played on the left. He is far more effective on the right but he's never going to replace Mahrez there.

Clearly not the nicest bloke off the pitch but same can be said for many many footballers and everybody else in every other walk of life.

Fvck England LTID. It's only three group stage matches of which Vardy will get 20 mins on the left wing. Hardly gonna tire the lad out!

Did you see Roy after Vardy's first goal? He was loving it!! I would love DD to get a call up, would be fantastic but as Webbo said, not sure he has enough goals and I also think that he would get a lot of fouls called against him by European refs.

What Hodgson sees in Mason (apart from his co*k) is beyond me and how hitherto he's been in the squad ahead of Drinkwater (or anyone else to be honest) is baffling and infuriating at the same time.

LAprice_ Posted 3 February 2016 Posted 3 February 2016 For the past 3/4 games I've started to think about Danny Simpson getting called up. Based on current form he's surely the best English RB in the league. Although in a world where Danny Drinkwater can't get a call-up, I think it would be crazy to see Simpson go to the Euros. More chance of Hodgson picking Arteta.

Yes it was a blessing in disguise. Always knew DD had the ability to make it in the PL.

I would be shocked at this- mainly due to his personal life, I remember everyone slating him at the time. Now saying he should be in England team- Madness! That said I think England's RBs are our worst position, think I'd rather Trippier than Walker or Clyne they are both pretty pants
