aefevans Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Hi guys, Some if you may have seen last year that we had a fan who was attacked by Wolves fans after our game there. A lot of money was raised by fans from all over football to aid his rehabilitation and recovery. At half-time tomorrow, he is due to come out onto the pitch to say hello and to thank the fans. I'm sure many of you will agree that, whatever team we support, things like this bring us all closer together. If as many of you can be in or around your seats at half-time, it would be greatly appreciated and would not go unnoticed. Thanks all, and enjoy your trip to our new and improved Vicarage Road tomorrow. Wrap up warm. http://m.watfordobserver.co.uk/sport/14318741.Nic_Cruwys_to_thank_Watford_fans_and_raise_awareness_for_charities_during_Foxes_clash/
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 That unprovoked attack, 6 on 1 or whatever it was, on a bloke just trying to get home was disgusting. Trying to recrate the 80s but doing it on someone that is completely outnumbered, shame on these scum. Not that I'm surprised given the typical pond-life that lives in Wolverhampton. I can't make the game but hope he gets a good reception

Hoping he goes home a bit gutted after a 2-0 loss though
nigelbee Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Good luck to this guy. Dispicable act and hope our fans are respectful to him on Saturday

Rich Fox Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 I will try and remember to give him a round of applause, glad to hear he has recovered and hope his attackers have been locked up
SystonFox Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 deserves more than a round of applause. stuff like this shouldn't happen anywhere let alone in and around football. on a side note i thought the WBA fans gave the Jelsons riders a decent reception the other night
sylofox Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 As the Watford fans are clapping will they be thinking of the Bournemouth fan battered outside Vic r this season? Seems funny you coming on here asking for respect when one of your own forums has reports of a beating of one man.
red5 Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 I'll never respect watford after that mascot performance Also you guys remember Deaney got jailed for kicking a kids head as he was on the ground, gtf to your half time I say.

Any of this warrant a man getting beaten up, really?
possiblygeorge Posted 4 March 2016 Posted 4 March 2016 Jesus. Any of this warrant a man getting beaten up, really? Each Club has their 'fans' that do pathetic acts like this. 100% does warrant support that he deserves. Any pathetic cowardly act like that deserves support. Poor lad leaving a Football match to see the club he supports plays just to get ambushed. Couldn't even imagine how he'd feel about going to games now.

I hope the crowd realise and respect this. I've only ever been beaten up (outside the ring) once in my life. I was in a club, about 19 years old and some guys were touching up the girl I was with whilst we were on the dance floor. I lost it and offered them all out - there were at least five of them and the first guy hit me from behind in the back of the head which put me down - the rest rushed me and put the boot in whilst I lay on the floor listening to my brain rock about inside my skull. It pulls the rug from under you. You lose the confidence to be out, walk places alone and begin to not trust your judgement and abilities. It took a good few weeks to get my confidence back. Must have been devastating for this fella. He's showing some courage coming on to the pitch and speaking. Respect.

That's a shocker buddy , anyone who kicks someone on the ground Should have a finger removed to remind them they are scum for the rest of their lives
KarlosSK4-LCFC4-ever! Posted 5 March 2016 Posted 5 March 2016 Sure City will show support just like the support we are recieving from millions of neutrals! One act of violence is no better or worse than another, these cowards should not be allowed at matches! Hope this guy gets a reception, nasty acts from a fee do not represent everyone associated at a FC, I'm sure if it was one of ours Watford would do the same, Poor fella!!! COYB
