Attack for Swans

Not Ulloa for me. He's good from the bench - today superb again - but with how we play he's too slow to be playing from the start. We need to do something different, bring Gray in and play Okazaki as the main striker.

Leo did great today! Held the ball up very well. Just wondering any chance vardy red card can be rescinded and he can play against Swansea?

Two yellow cards cannot be be rescinded.

No because you can't appeal a second yellow.

lots of interesting options...

if we want to play in a similar style... we could try Gray up front with okazaki behind. Not sure gray could do even half of what vardy does though. his only similar assett is his pace.

I like the idea of Mahrez and Ulloa up front, with MAhrez playing just behind. I thought Mahrez was very good today rarely gave the ball away and made some good passes and also tracked back well.

I'm sure Ranieri will make the best decision

I really wouldn't underestimate a bit of experience and that's why I'd be hugely tempted to play King. Can always bring the likes of Gray on nearer the end.

I'd go with:

Ulloa

Gray Mahrez Albrighton

Drinky Kante

Ulloa was really good today, he seemed to control the ball well and hold it up nicely. Put Mark on his favoured right flank to give better crossing options, and Gray on the left to cut inside with his right, with Riyad in the hole where he has played numerous times this season.

A bit harsh on Shinji perhaps, but don't really think Ulloa and Okazaki would work that well as a front 2.

Mmmm. I'd give Ulloa a chance alongside Okazaki given his performance today. But, King has played in this side many times and has done a fantastic job. I'd also like to see Gray play. There's so many options. King in CAM could work very well.

that seems a good shout... i like the idea of having ulloa who is more of a target man and gettings moire crosses in. Although would want to see Kingy in there. As he will pop up with goals at important times

I'm not keen on Mahrez in the hole. We tried that earlier in the season and he was terrible.

I can't believe we're top of the league with less than adequate back strikers. I'd play Ulloa and maybe start Schlupp as well.

I'm too emotionally drained to think about tactics at the moment.

The swans look like they r on the beach already I'd bring on schlump and gray second half against them push mahrez up and bring in king start with ulloah and shinji

Where did Mahrez play earlier in the season when he bagged his hat-trick?

Leo could well play upfront with Shinji but that partnership lacks a bit of pace and I don't think either or especially both could do a 90 minute shift.

I reckon Shinji to start, possibly up front on his own with either Schlupp or Gray starting.  It allows Mahrez to drift in and out, swapping with Schlupp or Gray and it would give the pace that we would miss with Vardy.

Leo will come on in the second half and perhaps King to replace one of the 5 "midfielders" to give us a bit more steel in the middle and more cleverer runs into the box should they be required.

I believe that Vardy missing the Swansea game could be a blessing in disguise.  He looks like he could do with a rest and I would rather have him 100% fit for the final 3 games.

Okazaki with Loic Remy up front.  ...oh wait.

Albrighton Mahrez Schlupp

Okazaki

that's what I think we'll see, but if he does start Leo who the hell is the reserve striker?

Ulloa did well when he came on, but as did Schlupp.

He made some very promising runs in a central position, I know you're never confident that its going to end up in the back of the net, but I could see him causing quite a menace in the Vardy role, dare I say it, could earn us a penalty.

In any case, this is probably the best occasion for both Okazaki and Ulloa to prove themselves, show to the world what an integral part they can be in a tandem and perform for the team, the manager and themselves to the best of their capabilities.

I don't see why Ranieri would want to change his 4-4-2 (4-4-1-1). The bench may look a bit different on Sunday with a recently rested player popping up on the teamsheet, but that'll be it as far as change is concerned.

Ranieri seems to have confirmed Ulloa will start:

And on Vardy's absence he said: "Ulloa will come in and he is not just a fantastic man, he is a good striker, a good player."
