Jimbo Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 I was hoping to get to the club shop this morning. It's not really for the new shirt, I can wait for that. I was hoping to get some scarfs and flags and always planned to go down this morning before the crowds arrive for the party. I wanted to get my uncle some stuff, he lives in Australia now and is visiting over in July. He's the reason I'm a Leicester fan so it's only fair I get him some things to remember the occasion by. But with the new kit launch yesterday and the 7 hour queues it's put me off a bit! If there is anyone who is in and around the area could let me know how it looks down there then I'd greatly appreciate it
tcrofts Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 If he's not coming until July I'd wait a bit. There'll be plenty of stock around that time and it won't be as busy. Can imagine when the store opens at 9am today it's going to be very busy
Jimbo Posted 7 May 2016 Author Posted 7 May 2016 Took the chance and drove down. Only about 30 people here at the moment.
promised land Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Took the chance and drove down. Only about 30 people here at the moment. But it's 2 hours before it opens, wait til 9 although you'll be in the doors first. You might be on to if any cameras are knocking about.

At least I'm not supposed to at work today so it'll be fine. When the season tickets were released for last season 3 of us had season tickets already and 2 (plastics) wanted new season tickets. We came down the day they were released to get their tickets and see if we could move ours to sit all together. 2 of us were supposed to be at the doctors that day, nudge nudge wink wink. Longest doctor appointment ever! Avoided all camera crews the lot. Even had our chance to have our photo taken with the football league trophy, my mate knows one of the media guys down here. But we couldn't do it because it'd have been on the website and in the mercury! Couldn't risk our bosses seeing it
VLC86 Posted 7 May 2016 Posted 7 May 2016 Worlds gone mad if their are people queuing for the shirts two hours before opening.

Couldn't risk our bosses seeing it I can remember years ago there was a Sheffield Wednesday fan on radio Leicester, he was talking about how he phoned in sick to go and watch a shef united game with a blades supporting mate and got picked out by the TV cameras and spotted by his boss. I don't think he was too fussed as he was laughing saying he wouldn't have minded but hated united and got sacked for it.
