FoxInTheBirstallBox Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 Let them stew in their own entitlement, yeah we have been lucky sometimes and got away more often than not with dodgey decisions But at the end of the day who has the ****ing trophy! Ahahaha
Corky Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 You be the best team, we'll have the trophy. Suits me absolutely fine.
Kitchandro Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 Let them stew in their own entitlement, yeah we have been lucky sometimes and got away more often than not with dodgey decisions But at the end of the day who has the ****ing trophy! Ahahaha No we haven't. Why do people keep saying this? The worst decision of the season was Spurs getting that penalty at Man City. A MASSIVE game in the title race with us losing earlier in the day, they get a penalty for hand ball when it hits Sterling in the ribs! Not to mention they somehow avoided red cards against Chelsea where they should have had 3 men sent off. Oh and we had to survive John Moss! What are our dodgy decisions? We've had none even comparable to those instances. What are we talking about here, a couple of slightly soft penalties that most teams would have got? Borderline offside calls? The decisions Spurs/Southampton fans were going on about that were considered correct by ex-professional referees? Seriously, what major luck have we had with referees? It's a myth concocted by Tottenham fans.
kushiro Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 Still Spurs fans claiming they battered us at WHL and the 1-0 win was daylight robbery. The truth about that game was both sides had about half a dozen good goalscoring opportunities. Yep - we had just as many clear chances as them. Their hopeful shots from long range and greater possession meant F all.
Raw Dykes Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 is there a podcast for this? It's the Radio 5 606 phone-in. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07bbvwd You can download an mp3 of it (below description).

Winning football is the only type that matters. Plus I love the style of football we play. When we attack we do so with real purpose.
erlee Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 Ha ha ha ha ha!!! That was brilliant! i bluudy spill my coffee laughing abt that caller...
z-layrex Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 I've never met a Spurs fan who wasn't deluded. Well I live in the south with many Spurs fans, most I meet are absolutely sound. You can't judge entire fanbases on internet forums.
Raw Dykes Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07bbvwd Sav on form for other good call about us and Celtic @ 51:12
BenTheFox Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b07bbvwd Sav on form for other good call about us and Celtic @ 51:12 It'd appear that we seem to get written off for no other reason than us being called Leicester City sometimes.
Dan Posted 17 May 2016 Posted 17 May 2016 It's absolutely amazing how thick and deluded some of these people are. He's basically the fighting cock in one person. Imagine if any club had that kind of attitude. They'd never ever win anything.

The decisions Spurs/Southampton fans were going on about that were considered correct by ex-professional referees? Seriously, what major luck have we had with referees? It's a myth concocted by Tottenham fans. We've had some luck for sure but it got absolutely milked to ****. I think it's human nature that when there's one side that's clearly the best people will look for any excuse to shoot them down. I love how no Spurs fan EVER mentions the most blatant penalty I've ever seen not getting given when we played them in August. "But that was back in August" would be the shite reply I'd expect to that bit of truth. Ever since Koeman came out saying we had a lot of luck (after getting two 50/50's fall our way) everyone thought they'd use that to get at us. That's after they've worked their way through injuries, doping, luck, you name it, and if there's a more laughable criticism than "they only win 1-0" then I'm yet to hear it. Whilst on the subject of myth debunking - does anyone else recall Spurs 'absolutely battering' Leicester in January? I remember it being a game where they had most of the possession (wow many passes between Alderweireld and Vertonghen truly mesmerising stuff spaff spaff spaff), a couple of long-range efforts, one clear cut chance through Kane which Schmeichel tipped onto the bar, and Leicester having a couple of long-range efforts, one goal scramble that we should have scored from and one clear cut chance from Huth, created by appalling marking from Spurs, that we put away. People who think Spurs 'battered' Leicester that night and thought that Spurs deserved to win just do not get football. It's that simple. All they're doing is trying to cover up their own shortcomings, and them and Arsenal conveniently seem specialists at doing that - you'd think neither had won anything in years.

Plus I love the style of football we play. When we attack we do so with real purpose. Think Arsenal fans are still at it but they're probably moving on to pass completion percentage now. Either way it'll be another that's on the whole irrelevant.
WigstonWanderer Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 To be fair though didn't take a genius to tie that guy up in loops with an argument containing that many floors! Using an escalator?
BenTheFox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Think Arsenal fans are still at it but they're probably moving on to pass completion percentage now. Either way it'll be another that's on the whole irrelevant. To be fair, I think that depends on which Arsenal fans you come across. If they're critical of Wenger then they'll probably tell you that possession is a nothing stat.
Jattdogg Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Absolute tosser. If spurs had won every game 1 nil (and won the league) would he change his tune and say they didnt batter everyone and leicester was best? Last i checked spurs scored 1 more goal then us? Having said that its irrelevant. It's about getting results 1 nil or 5-4. Look spurs did well this year no denying it but christ sakes give your head a shake you were 3rd best.
Raw Dykes Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 It'd appear that we seem to get written off for no other reason than us being called Leicester City sometimes. That's it exactly. The team that a lot of people think of when they hear "Leicester City" is not the one we currently have. I think there's a decent chance we'll shock some people in Europe next season because of this. We've got a friendly with Celtic this summer. That might give the caller a clue about who will do better.
Dan Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 To be fair, I think that depends on which Arsenal fans you come across. If they're critical of Wenger then they'll probably tell you that possession is a nothing stat. Fair point. Granted I'm a huge cynic and more likely to end up focusing on their annoying bellend element of @GiroudFirstTouch and @OzilAssist who think Wilshere's better than Xavi. Sign of the times I guess.
