BenTheFox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Fair point. Granted I'm a huge cynic and more likely to end up focusing on their annoying bellend element of @GiroudFirstTouch and @OzilAssist who think Wilshere's better than Xavi. Sign of the times I guess. Oh yeah. Not sure there's any set of fans that overrate their players more than Arsenal fans do.
AyewJoking Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 must have been a leicester/arsenal fan on the wind up.
Guest Manini Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 I think 5 Live tell these types of callers what to say to make good listening. Bit of a coincidence that he's the last caller they had this season. His voice sounded well choked up and nervous.
TrentFox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 almost as good as this phone in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fy47pO7kqJ4 Never heard that before. Absolutely brilliant.
Steven Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 It'd appear that we seem to get written off for no other reason than us being called Leicester City sometimes. Exactly what Slaven Bilic says.
kingcarr21 Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Sav gives it to them straight. I still don't get this Spurs are the best team bullshit. They scored 1 more and conceded 1 less than us. Yet they are SOOOOO much better than us. Hilarious. They post absolutely irrelevant stats that they are top of which ultimately mean nothing. They finished 11 points behind. No luck involved. Leicester have whipped their cocks out and pissed all over this league
David Hankey Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Delusion and the Spuds go hand in hand. They have been deluded all season in thinking they could catch the Foxes. The table nor record lies. You only have to look at it to see how inferior they were. It seems to me the guy on the radio needs medical help.
Jon the Hat Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Well I live in the south with many Spurs fans, most I meet are absolutely sound. You can't judge entire fanbases on internet forums. Indeed. The boss at my company is a Spurs fan, and he is delighted with their season, and sees the progress of a young team with a great manager and is very happy.
GazzinderFox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Astonishing that any spurs fan is sticking their head above the parapet this week to blow their own trumpet. This is a club that in a two horse race for the title managed to come third! I think a period of silence and reflection might be in order when it comes to national radio.
surrifox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Shaky grip on reality but still a more reliable football pundit than Lawrenson
norwichfox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Spurs are now touring in open-toed sandals, all the busses were in use by winners
Drygon Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 I didn't hear the last part of this sentence from Hussein pretty well from ... Can someone to clear it up please? We've been the best team this season everytime we beat [?]
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 It may have been performance wise 1 of Spurs best seasons ever but due to their fans its actually turned into their most embarrassing season ever absolutely mate
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Why some of the angst on here? I heard his call and laughed at his delusion. As we basked in the sun and the glory on Monday and into the summer and beyond, he will be probably be bashing the bishop in a vain attempt at pleasure. And like his beloved Spurs he probably won't come anywhere useful!
Innovindil Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 I didn't hear the last part of this sentence from Hussein pretty well from ... Can someone to clear it up please? Everytime we've beaten teams we've blown them away. What a load of tosh
Rincewind Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 8 words Leicester, consistent consistent consistent. Spurs bottle bottled bottled And a few last words from Claudio. Dilly ding dilly dong.
Culletonfox Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Absolute tosser. If spurs had won every game 1 nil (and won the league) would he change his tune and say they didnt batter everyone and leicester was best? Last i checked spurs scored 1 more goal then us? Having said that its irrelevant. It's about getting results 1 nil or 5-4. Look spurs did well this year no denying it but christ sakes give your head a shake you were 3rd best. still can't work out how they finished 3rd in a 2 horse race........
Rincewind Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 How is winning 1-0 worse than drawing or losing. To win you only have to score more goals than the opposition. We did that more than spurs.. They could not handle the pressure Shame because they were second for a long time but the league is over 48 games not just a few good performances where you 'batter' the other side. Credit to Arsenal who held their nerve over the last few games and were probably focussed more on 2nd place than 1st. Spurs were so bothered what they needed to catch up they forgot about Arsenal closing in.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 Spurs have seriously been overrated this season anyway, they battered a few binmen and all of a sudden it's their best season. They'll be back to 7th next season most likely.
Donut Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 My Dad asked me at the parade if I'd heard this, I hadn't... so he's emailed me it - absolutely amazing. There's deluded, then there's Spurs fans - or at least this guy! Get ready to laugh: 1) "one man team"...... interesting that 4 of our players were in the PFA team of the season then. 2) "one nil wins"........ Newcastle 3-0, Swansea 3-0, Stoke 3-0, Man City 3-1, Swansea 4-0, Sunderland 4-2, Everton 3-1....... scored one less goal than Spurs this season. One. 3) Best team this season......You finished THIRD, you werent even the second best team in a supposedly two horse race FFS 4) You scored less points in finishing third, than you did under AVB. So AVB had a more successful season than you lot this season. 5) The most important point of the 5, youre a melt.
whoareyaaa Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 They couldn't handle the pressure going into those final games and eventually flopped it, I said they would too many young players with no experience in winning a league, even with help from the officials they ****ed up and got no where near us in the end.
Koke Posted 18 May 2016 Posted 18 May 2016 We drew to West Ham and they beat Stoke and everyone said Spurs would win all their remaining games Drew to West Brom Drew to Chelsea Lost to Southampton Lost to Newcastle They said we would bottle our 4 remaining games. Beat Swansea Drew to Man Utd Beat Everton Drew to Chelsea Graeme Souness is sitting somewhere wanking furiously to YouTube clips of side way passes between Vertonghen and Alderweireld, cos you know, Tottenham are Brazil 1970 and we are Wimbledon in their prime.
