And if he's not happy to sign an upgrade on his current contract, precisely what could be done about us holding him to the one he's got until it finishes? I entirely understand the upgrade offer given our achievements but am clearly missing something and apologise for not keeping up to speed on these issues.

Not ITK but I think we are not obliged to sell anyone Thrac, however, CR has stated that he doesn't want to keep people who do not want to stay here and want to go. If it is a money issue then that can hopefully be resolved, but if it is something else then he will not stand in their way.

Ummmmmm, not sure about that approach but Ranieri's the manager and doubtless he's experienced these situations enough times to know what's best.
