**** that, I say we go in with bids for Ozil or Sanchez and show them 2 can play that game

Yeah that'll show em!! I can imagine Ozil and Sanchez heads being turned by the Mighty Leicester City... lol

FFS that would make us into a laughing stock.  As if that would unsettle Arsenal.

Why don't we just come out and say "due to Arsenal's extremely unprofessional approach to the transfer market regarding Riyad Mahrez we, Leicester City Football Club, hereby refuse to do any business of any kind with Arsenal Football Club now or in the future".

Something stinks. And the proof of it, should it come, would certainly affect my attitudes if I were Ranieri.

We would be a laughing stock and very small time tin pot ***** to make a cheeky bid for 2 players who are never going to come to our club.  Anybody above the intelligence of a window licking half wit should be able to see that. lol

A little more respect wouldn't go amiss considering we just walked the league.

This is me laughing at the crap you just put there.  Perhaps we should bid for Costa and Hazard too.  Chelsea the bastards took N'golo from us and they are not even in the Champions League.  Take that Chelsea!!

If Mahrez goes for any less then what Everton value Lukaku at (75m) then I will be going on the rampage and making the sure the club are aware of my concerns via a banner of some sort.

Lukaku has been consistent for 2 years where as Mahrez has only had one consistent season at the top.

For that reason alone we won't get no where near the price Lukaku is going for. IF & it's a big IF for me, that Mahrez does leave I would be really surprised if we got more than £50m for him.

Someone said that the press wind them up............well there's a solution to that. These are the same rags that lead opinion on all sorts of things, and generally deal in stirring the pot to keep us distracted.

Mahrez will stay, until the point at which he leaves. Anything else is just making noise for the sake of making noise. I am sure none of you - NONE OF YOU - would ever do such a thing...

To me this is one thing Pearson had over Ranieri that i prefer. He just wouldn't talk to the papers. He wouldn't talk about in-comings and he wouldn't talk about players who who are being courted and i find it a little unsettling that Ranieri seems to have something new to say every few days about Mahrez. Although to be fair Nigel would of probably nutted one of the press by now because of their constant questions about him..

I think the way Nige generally handled transfers and speculation was far better

How is it crap? I've never said we should bid for these players. I take issue with your prose - the lack of respect and patronizing manner in the way you responded - not with what you are saying.

Here let me spell it out for you - referring to our club in reference to Arsenal as "the mighty Leicester City... lol" shows a lack of respect.

A lack of respect to who? Stop trying to be clever and engage your brain. Take issue with whatever you like and I will keep on lol at you.

Prefer the way Ranieri goes about it tbh, at least he shows he wants to keep the player and how much it means to  him for Mahrez to stay. Another thing is let's us know what the situation is, and as ridiculous as it may sound things like the backing you get from fans to stay from social media (Twitter/FB etc.) probably give the player something to think about.

I think it's all about money though pretty much - he's after a better deal with us.

Must disagree with you there... I mean... How is announcing that Mahrez has become unsettled/ had his head turned  by the Arsenal interest helping anyone? Surely they would see that as an encouragement to keep up with their pursuit?

Would someone in the know about these things please explain to me why we'd be obliged to sell Mahrez to anyone if he's on contract for another three years?

And if he's not happy to sign an upgrade on his current contract, precisely what could be done about us holding him to the one he's got until it finishes?

I entirely understand the upgrade offer given our achievements but am clearly missing something and apologise for not keeping up to speed on these issues.

Not ITK but I think we are not obliged to sell anyone Thrac, however, CR has stated that he doesn't want to keep people who do not want to stay here and want to go.  If it is a money issue then that can hopefully be resolved, but if it is something else then he will not stand in their way.

Ummmmmm, not sure about that approach but Ranieri's the manager and doubtless he's experienced these situations enough times to know what's best.
