Bellerin has grown up in London, if you listen to his accent, you'll see, it really is amazing. Blokes such a cretinous nob living on past glory never seen him smile, so if that's his poker face it amounts to tapping up. if mahrez wants to go then sell him, but he is tied into long contract so he should be sold for 60 million plus In today's curent market. if asking price is not met he stays if he plays shit his chance of a big move will also diminish

Thing is he's not smirking because he's made a bid, he's smirking because the guy asked him about transfers and is told by Wenger he won't talk about them in public and he follows it immediately with another transfer question. Wenger is clearly laughing at the stupidity of the question.
st albans fox Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 That's interesting from GFF. Something leaked to them in that regard. I guess his people have to push the door to try and extract the best release clause/loyalty bonus combo that they can. He already intimated he was ready to sign if the money was right according to the info given to he press on Friday. i can only assume that if we were really concerned he could leave then we would wrap this up quickly and not be too bothered if it were somewhat to his advantage come next summer. Of course, delaying also allows for someone to come up with the 50M we would accept.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is usually tight-lipped when it comes to transfer dealings but his body language during interviews has spoken volumes down the years. The Frenchman pulled out his famous smirk once again when quizzed on Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez after watching him against Paris Saint-Germain – the attacking midfielder is being linked with a £40million move to the Emirates this summer. Supporters lost the plot back in April when Wenger performed the same grin as he was questioned on a deal for Granit Xhaka – the midfielder, of course, signed on the dotted line with the Gunners not long after. Gooners will also remember the 66-year-old smiling shortly before securing the services of Mesut Ozil for a fee of £42.5m three years back.

The guy asks him about the Mahrez, he tell him he won't comment on transfers as its better to deal with them behind closed doors and the bloke immediately asks him if he's bid for Mahrez. If I was Wenger I'd have laugh/smiled too. Arsenal fans, if they wanted to recall it, could probably remember numerous times he's smiled when asked about a transfer that never happened, like Higuain, Benzema etc.

I assume he never smirks unless he's asked about a player he's about to sign. Smiling twice and signing two players, can't argue with a correlation like that.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 I will never, ever understand the mentality of someone who signs up to an opposition team's forum.
Chelve84 Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 I think he is going... If he wanted to stay he could come out and put this to bed.I'm sure the club have offered him a new deal and he knows what he would earning if he stayed.

Lesteban Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 It's no coincidence that Vardy has been out in the media talking about how easy it is to reject Arsenal and stay at Leicester.

But having watched this forum for a few months now, albeit sporadically, I have noticed that some of the Arsenal "fans" posting on here are borderline illiterate, and I won't stand for being put into that stereotype. This is a Leicester forum, and I don't want this to be inundated with rival posts, but I do have something to say. Some of the hate talk on here is pretty unsettling, you would've thought that a team that achieved arguably the greatest sporting feat of time would remain humble considering where your team was 12 months ago, let alone 2-3 years ago. Not even on the Manchester United forums (particularly redcafe) is there such sickening hate for Arsenal, and they are actually our rivals; whereas Leicester, is, at the moment, just like the Train hit, "Drops of Jupiter." You may come out with another hit, but I think even your fan base, and coach, don't think that will happen. So please embrace it. In regards to Mahrez, it is clear that we are interested. And despite Leicester's incredible triumph, an achievement that all Arsenal supporters are envious of (be it with bitterness, jealousy or frustration), Arsenal are a much larger club, in an international city, and with more money. He either leaves this season, or the next; and it was clear from the PSG game, both on and off the field, that something is brewing. Wenger left as soon as Mahrez was subbed off (almost instantly) and he wasn't there to see Drinkwater. I know this may seem arrogant, and despite what Vardy said, it would've been a tough decision for him. But for Mahrez, a player 4-5 years his junior, and 4-5x more skilled, the decision to join Arsenal will be equally as hard; but, and this happens a lot, the prestige, attention and personnel (ie Ozil, Alexis) may seem too strong a lure. If if he does go, remember that Arsenal had to undergo similar losses during the stadium repayment period of 2006-2012, and we had to undergo it without winning a title like you lot. I know it is frustrating, but if your assumptions about Arsenal are correct, then he'll end up at Arsenal for 2 years then will be off to Barcelona or Madrid, and Arsenal fans will be equally as livid. If you get £40-50m for a player that has succeeded for really only 12 months, then it isn't poor business; think how you can reinvest that same money. Good luck. Good chat. You may go now
Ric Flair Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 He will not be leaving this summer. It's up to him if he wants to earn £35,000 a week for another year or £100,000 a week.

Us hating Arsenal has nothing to do with us not being humble in our achievement. It has everything to do with 99% of the Arsenal fans you come across on the net being total mouth breathers. Along the way you end up interacting with other fans, when you play their team, or over speculation and your lot are just unbearable. We don't think you're our rival, we just don't like your fans. I appreciate, that's not going to be everyone... meet people actually at games and they are probably decent. But your twitter army and the Arsenal TV plonkers are all lunatics. As for Wenger being their to scout Mahrez... why on earth would you go to some meaningless pre season friendly to scout a player you've seen rip up your league all year long. You aren't going to learn anything you didn't already know.
VIKTOR-LE5 Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 F uck these Arsenal fans had enough of these ****** you ain't our rivals your just a bunch of sad mutes, should check Daily Mail comments bell ends.

st albans fox Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 It's vague - the interpretation we would like is 'don't accuse me of lacking ambition when I re sign for Lcfc. It's not just about the money'

Babylon Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 What style of play would he like... one that wins the league and enables him to rip up the league winning PFA players of the year perhaps?
Ted Maul Posted 1 August 2016 Posted 1 August 2016 I think this one will rumble on until the end of the window- Riyad might just be keeping an eye out for his dream move to a genuinely big club like Barcelona. Ultimately though, I don't think that will happen and unless we receive a ridiculous bid, we will be reluctant to sell given that we've already lost one of our best players. A ridiculous bid will not come from Arsenal. I've seen reports that they are ready to bid £37m, and it wouldn't surprise me if that's how much they think they can get him for, given their pathetic opening offer for Lacazette. They really are a bizarre club with weird fans.
