Sly Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/06/26/am-liverpool-and-leicester-made-favourites-to-sign-yarmolenko-wh/ BETVICTOR have made Liverpool and Leicester City joint 2/1 favourites to sign Ukrainian forward Andriy Yarmolenko. Modern day football is so fast and aggressive that versatility is an attribute that many clubs now prioritise. Yarmolenko has this variation to his game and is comfortable playing anywhere across the front-line. It could be argued that while the 26-year-old would be a terrific acquisition for the Foxes, he may not be of sufficient standard to elevate Liverpool to the levels expected of them next season. The suggestion that a player would be a great signing for the champions, yet maybe not good enough for the team that finished in eighth position, just goes to prove how crazy and topsy-turvy last season's Premier League campaign was. There is, nevertheless, still a huge gulf between the two clubs, and it would certainly not be a surprise if Liverpool finished above Leicester next term. The Foxes will face a different challenge next season. Every side in the league will now be aware of their threats, and how they sit back before hitting hard and fast on the counter. The balls over the top to Jamie Vardy will be harder to execute, as opposition defences sit deeper. They will be expected to come out and win games - something they are not used to doing. Jamie Vardy would be the perfect foil for Yarmolenko, if a move to Leicester were to materialise They have to have a different game-plan next term, or at least a variation in style and personnel. Yarmolenko would be the ideal candidate to give the Midlands outfit that factor of the unknown. He is far more technically gifted than Vardy, and would perfectly complement the English hit-man if Claudio Ranieri wanted to pair the two together in their accustomed 4-4-2. He is also incredibly quick and could be used to great effect down either flank. For Liverpool, however, Yarmolenko would arguably be a signing who would not improve them as a side. The Ukrainian's ability is undeniable, but with Jürgen Klopp at the helm at Anfield, their fans will be expecting big name signings who can give them that little bit extra. Whereas Yarmolenko would give Leicester something they haven't got, the same cannot be said for Liverpool, and for that reason, the Reds should look elsewhere. If the Foxes could manage to pull off this signing, however, what a fantastic coup it would be for the club, and a clear signal of intent to the rest of the Premier League regarding their ambitions
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 If mahrez leaves then he will be the replacement basically. Very similar players.Huh?He can't be that good can he?
st albans fox Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Yeah - we did terribly in the second half of last season, once everyone knew how we were going to play .......... What dross - and the rumour would get similar treatment if his agent hadn't been pictured at belvoir drive. That was probably to get someone else moving on his player though.
Babylon Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 What a spacker, ooooh yeah he'll improve top placed Leicester, but there is no way he'd improve 8th placed Liverpool... how could you improve on Jordon Ibe.

Kitchandro Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 'If the Foxes could manage to pull off this signing, however, what a fantastic coup it would be for the club, and a clear signal of intent to the rest of the Premier League regarding their ambitions' mate we've got Riyad Mahrez playing for us.
Nick Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 I think this is one of our back up plans in case we lost Ryhad.... Would love him as an addition though!
DB11 Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 It's not hard to make the two clubs that the agent posted a picture of outside their respective training grounds the favourite to sign a player lol

This point seems to be missed by everyone outside Leicester. Anyone would think we hadn't picked up more points in the second half of the season.
Alexikokopops Posted 27 June 2016 Posted 27 June 2016 Terrible writing. I thought it was a foreign link that had been through Google Translate.
