Non-League Football 2016/17

Recommended Posts

I noticed South Shields have won promotion to the NPL Division One North,  they also won the Durham cup, have reached the final of the league cup and will be going to Wembley for the final of the F.A Vase.  And they won 32 games on the trot too.

They've got Julio Arca off of Sunderland. Pretty impressive win that. Apparently they nearly went out in the 4th round but a floodlight failure 9 minutes from time at 4-2 down saved them.

Forest green vs Tranmere in national league play off final. Chorley vs Halifax in north, and Ebbsfleet vs Chelmsford in south.

Tranmere hopefully coming back up.

Didn't Forest Green lose in the final last year? I know Grimsby won the final.

Congratulations to Forest Green.

Lovely little club, be interesting what they look to do from here... given they are possibly limited on how far they can go in terms of the area itself.

Their stewards certainly aren't.

Didn't want them to win. Getting 5 million pounds in debt to reach the football league is ridiculous.

When the millionaire gets bored and the money dries up, they'll be fly back down to the conference.

Just been reading that the debt is close to 10 million, and they've spent 200k on agents this season.

Their payments to agents could have paid Chester's players for a whole season.
