It literally doesn't matter. Unless someone, somewhere can shake up the FA to its rotten core, it will go on and on and on and on.

In my lifetime, the only real success we've had was under Sir Bobby Robson and El Tel Venables. Two blokes who had enough about them individually to get the players on their side and not be swayed by the FA.

Hodgson was a puppet, a has been, dining greatly on his lucrative contract and nodding in all the right places. A sham and a charlatan.

Did a cracking job at Newcastle.

In all fairness it was a sunken ship before he even took over for the 5 games or whatever it was.

Ranieri did a cracking job at Greece before he took over us lol

Must of knew he wanted as I put the post before he just said he went for the position before and would want it again lol

If we want someone English, we could do a lot worse than Gary Neville leading a team including the likes of Shearer, Southgate, Wright, Pearce and Carragher.

It'd never happen, but its a mix of tactics and passion.

We could, and have, done a hell of a lot worse.

Two things big Sam wouldn't do:

1. Play big time Charlie's. He'd play who he wanted

2. Kiss the FA's arse.

Both sound ok to me. However, it's not all about the manager. We've had this debate for decades. Guardiola could take over and we'd still fail whilst English football is run as it is.

I don't know about that, the players that are picked aren't the right ones, it is unbalanced and full of half fit players. Yes if we want to be a Germany, Italy , Spain then we need a major shake up and concentrate on a philosophy. However a good manager would have had a more balanced side and the right players in at this tournament , and they would have done better than this rubbish.

If Howe can get Josh King and Tommy Elphick to play decent football surely he can make Dele Alli and Jack Wilshere look like decent footballers

I say England needs a risk taker someone who ain't scard to drop someone cos they aint good and give everyone who plays well a go at it untill that happens will alway will be coming home

I agree, but every England manager is the same, maybe it's the fa. You just know that if Jose was English he wouldn't get the job or any other manager who likes to think and run things himself.

Howe.

Don't like him but he got Bournemouth safe well before season end and they played some decent stuff.

Gary Neville?

Gary Neville that couldnt get a performance from Valencia?

Gary Neville that couldnt get the players to defend a throw in?

Gary Neville thats just been part of one of the most embarrasing defeats the world of football has ever seen?

Really?

its allways the same no matter who even sven or fabio couldnt do mutch

Both weren't great either... both did the same things, lampard and Gerrard could never play together, and scholes got put to the left and decided to retire. we haven't appointed a manager who is willing to look beyond the sponsorship deals...

Amazing how many people think Gary Neville, Roys number 2 would be a good appointment. Absolutely get in that bin.

I've literally not seen a single person suggest him? He's just resigned ffs.
