Jace Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Out side Wembley maybe £100 before kick off Half that after kick off There will be tons around the ground Couldn't take that risk not after spending hundreds on train and hotel costs too
jammie82uk Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Seems like from what I seen its a very high percentage of Man United's allocation that's on these resale sites
GaelicFox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Seems like from what I seen its a very high percentage of Man United's allocation that's on these resale sites There tickets already in hand I believe or allocated
stripeyfox Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 Your original sums are wrong. 20,000 seats are ALREADY sold to Club Wembley. So only 70,000 tickets to allocate. All things considered it's not a bad allocation. They are never going to be able to meet demand. United must have twice as many season tickets as us so even harsher on them!
GaelicFox Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 We do care I'm sure we would all like to be going with cheap face value tickets, problem is this has been how big match games, finals, major tournaments etc have always been it was never going to be different for this game unfortunately Hotels must cost more than these tickets on secondary market ? Maybe give Robbing london hotels a Miss and go for the the authentic City experienced , Bus 1 fox travel Just don't sit in seat 33 , 44, 21, 19 , 20 .......... LOL
Beliall Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 I emailed them regarding this and this is the reply Thank you for contacting the Football Association. Playing The FA Community Shield at Wembley is part of the stadium's business plan which allowed The FA to build a 90,000 seater national stadium, but with the significantly greater number of tickets available this will allow more fans to attend each of the showpiece fixtures. In turn, this will generate more income for The FA to reinvest back into the game at all levels – The FA is a non-profit organisation. In relation to the allocation of tickets, approximately 55,000 go to the two competing teams. However, one team’s allocation is always slightly smaller due to segregation purposes. The number of seats used for segregation is in the region of 1500. Additionally a certain number of seats are located in the Club Wembley areas of the stadium on Level Two. The remaining tickets are issued to the ‘Football Family’. The Football Family is made up of all the clubs who participated in this seasons FA Cup, FA Partners, official charities and the local County Football Associations who organise football throughout England. However, anything not taken up by the ‘Football Family’ is made available to the two competing clubs. We do appreciate the frustrations involved when supporters miss out on obtaining tickets for big matches. However, with a match of this importance involving two such big clubs* it is impossible to satisfy the demand for tickets. Kind regards, seems perfectly reasonable *
norwichfox Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 United must have twice as many season tickets as us so even harsher on them! .......but most of them live locally to Wembley and won't have high travel costs lol
Voll Blau Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 In my opinion it's a great allocation 4 years ago we regularly struggled to sell that many tickets at home Every season ticket holder will accommodated , 100% Manure more than 50% of their STH's will miss out This is a show case event to celebrate the FA reaching into the heart of our country and communities , so huge numbers go to local FA offices and county FA boards I'm more than happy with 27000 being fair When we get 12000 for the champions league final in cardif that's the time to meltdown ! Of course you are. You got a ticket.
Brooksy Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 might have to go for one of those 130 quid tickets. don't wanna miss our first visit to the new wembley
Jace Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 might have to go for one of those 130 quid tickets. don't wanna miss our first visit to the new wembley Which 1s you looking at? I'd pay £130 but don't really wanna be sat in the middle of the Man Utd end by myself
broughtonblue Posted 8 July 2016 Posted 8 July 2016 27,000 more than enough to accommodate our season ticket holders, the 250,000 (I've been a city fan for years) who attended the victory parade will have to pay to 'keep' supporting our team
Russell sprout Posted 9 July 2016 Posted 9 July 2016 As we know, the Blue Army will be making their way down to Wembley in August. Both competing clubs have been given 27000 tickets in a stadium that holds 90,000 which means there are 36,000 tickets left. I thought I would do some investigating into what happens to the rest of the tickets. A quick search on the internet shows one company with 315 tickets available from £135 upwards. I would love to know who is supplying these tickets. Somebody, somewhere is getting very rich 23000 sth,(27000 allocation) £20-£45 an adult ticket, what's to complain about
GaelicFox Posted 9 July 2016 Posted 9 July 2016 Of course you are. You got a ticket. That's not the point , the point is people whinging about a situation that isn't a rip off or unfairSprouts point above sums it up !
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 9 July 2016 Posted 9 July 2016 The Charity shield is an exhibition match for the FA and isn't just for us I'm afraid.
Brooksy Posted 9 July 2016 Posted 9 July 2016 Which 1s you looking at? I'd pay £130 but don't really wanna be sat in the middle of the Man Utd end by myself Are they all for the united end?
Livid Posted 9 July 2016 Posted 9 July 2016 If you look at attendances since it went back to the new Wembley it generally attracts between 75-85000. Arsenal v Man City in 2014 only drew 71000 though. I guess it depends how many of the Football Family' can actually be bothered.
