brisfox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 As we know, the Blue Army will be making their way down to Wembley in August. Both competing clubs have been given 27000 tickets in a stadium that holds 90,000 which means there are 36,000 tickets left. I thought I would do some investigating into what happens to the rest of the tickets. A quick search on the internet shows one company with 315 tickets available from £135 upwards. I would love to know who is supplying these tickets. Somebody, somewhere is getting very rich

goose2010 Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Or some company some where has paid the FA millions to become a sponsor / associate of the FA and its probably apart of their agreement. This isn't a new thing its been going for ever and a day and it wont change for the better unfortunately.
brisfox Posted 7 July 2016 Author Posted 7 July 2016 I've been to Wembley, there isn't 36,000 in the prawn sandwich brigade
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 How many "club Wembley" tickets did they sell?
foxy boxing Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 You know exactly who are getting rich the fa it's all about sponsors and marketing the hardcore fans don't count most of the tickets will go to overseas corporates it is how they make their money selling us to a global audience
Lcfc_lass10 Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 It's modern day football I'm afraid. There's a lot of things wrong with it.
Jace Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Its 27,000 per teams for all big games mate sorry I know its annoying but its no different for us
StanSP Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 I've been to Wembley, there isn't 36,000 in the prawn sandwich brigade True. there isn't. But a LOT of the tickets go to charities, local football clubs and local community teams. Think about the competition we're playing in - community shield. FA has hundreds of companies they're in sponsorship with. Also, this is nothing new as someone said. Why get all outraged now?
m4DD0gg Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Man utd fans must be really pissed off, they must have way more than 27K season ticket holders
AaronH Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 I emailed them regarding this and this is the reply Thank you for contacting the Football Association. Playing The FA Community Shield at Wembley is part of the stadium's business plan which allowed The FA to build a 90,000 seater national stadium, but with the significantly greater number of tickets available this will allow more fans to attend each of the showpiece fixtures. In turn, this will generate more income for The FA to reinvest back into the game at all levels – The FA is a non-profit organisation. In relation to the allocation of tickets, approximately 55,000 go to the two competing teams. However, one team’s allocation is always slightly smaller due to segregation purposes. The number of seats used for segregation is in the region of 1500. Additionally a certain number of seats are located in the Club Wembley areas of the stadium on Level Two. The remaining tickets are issued to the ‘Football Family’. The Football Family is made up of all the clubs who participated in this seasons FA Cup, FA Partners, official charities and the local County Football Associations who organise football throughout England. However, anything not taken up by the ‘Football Family’ is made available to the two competing clubs. We do appreciate the frustrations involved when supporters miss out on obtaining tickets for big matches. However, with a match of this importance involving two such big clubs it is impossible to satisfy the demand for tickets. Kind regards,

FoxyPalace.com Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Looks like buying a over inflated ticket for around £150. anybody know a decent site that I can trust?
whitwickfox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 One thing worries me is the rest of the tickets will go to arm chair manure fans. We will be out supported at least two to one.
GaelicFox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 Also every County FA gets a bucket full for this game Grass roots get a bucket full Honestly people need to get a grip it's a fantastic allocation 27000 Not so long ago we would have struggled to sell 27000 tickets for city ! Ireland got 4000 for the Ireland V France euro game
Wymsey Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!... , modern football cup final shock.
syston_fox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 If you're annoyed by this then you're going to be pissed when you see our allocation for the champions league final!!
brisfox Posted 7 July 2016 Author Posted 7 July 2016 The point I am making is that there are thousands of tickets for sale on websites at higher than face value( thought that was illegal but nobody seems to care). Where do these tickets come from? Are they being sold in bulk( which I suspect) or are people who get freebie tickets making a few quid on the black market? Either way, they should be stopped.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 All of this is no different than it is in Rugby Union Football.

We do care I'm sure we would all like to be going with cheap face value tickets, problem is this has been how big match games, finals, major tournaments etc have always been it was never going to be different for this game unfortunately
GaelicFox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 I think the FA has done us very fair with ticket prices £20 for a pre season training session in Oxford Or £25 for community shield ! Great job by FA

Jace Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 I'm looking here at the moment maybe the £133 1's http://www.livefootballtickets.com/fixtures/leicester-city-v-manchester-united-tickets-community-shield.html
GaelicFox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 In my opinion it's a great allocation 4 years ago we regularly struggled to sell that many tickets at home Every season ticket holder will accommodated , 100% Manure more than 50% of their STH's will miss out This is a show case event to celebrate the FA reaching into the heart of our country and communities , so huge numbers go to local FA offices and county FA boards I'm more than happy with 27000 being fair When we get 12000 for the champions league final in cardif that's the time to meltdown !
GaelicFox Posted 7 July 2016 Posted 7 July 2016 I'm looking here at the moment maybe the £133 1's http://www.livefootballtickets.com/fixtures/leicester-city-v-manchester-united-tickets-community-shield.html Out side Wembley maybe £100 before kick off Half that after kick off There will be tons around the ground
