I so wish I could plus 10 this.

But likeI have said we will have to get used to having Billy big bollox fans. Anyway if we don't win every game from now till next May CR and all the players can fock right off. In fact they better not even think about losing a game.

Lol... fair enough I get the point that people are giving me beef, but I'm not on the side of expecting to win everything but I'm also not on the side of accepting a mid table finish. For me that would be moving backwards.

Jesus. If you wouldn't even consider finishing 8th as ok then God help you.

Last year was a dream and we were utterly superb all year. Will be difficult to happen again and I'd be very happy with a top 10

finish.

No one has a ****ing small club mentality by saying they'd be content with a top 8 finish. We're Leicester city. It'll take time to consistently keep finishing towards the top end of the league.

I bet you'll be booing us if we lose to Hull and arsenal as well.

We might stagger a few again and finish top 6 but if we don't then it'll be no great travesty so please just be open minded and don't criticise us if we don't batter hull 6-0 on the opening day.

8th next season is a statement that our time at the top is done and the seasons after that we'll be relatively happy to just stay in the league.

We have a chance albeit a small one to force our way on to the top table and we'd only manage that with sustained success.

Do you think Vardy and Mahrez were happy to sign their new contracts on the vision of us finishing 8th next season? At least have some ambition for the team that won the title by 10pts next season just to be happy to make the numbers up and not have a relegation battle.

we need a couple of "easy friendlies" to improve sharpness and get back to winning ways, imo 4 friendies is not enough (ffs Vardy has 0 minutes under his belt). Chelsea made a similar mistake last pre season, hence started badly and gradually declined. No panic yet as i think there will be a couple more players in yet. Certainly Mendy doesnt look comfortable in a 2 man central midfield. As for Musa he has obvious pace, lets see how/if a partnership builds with Vardy

Im not worried about this result at all. Its a friendly. No sense of urgency or need to win. Sure may be a pride thing but just allows us to be under the radar. Little leicester. I will take that.

Cant wait for the season to start.

Don't worry, this game won't affect our league position lol

We will move backwards on position from last season - the question is are we moving forwards as a club overall.

We're getting some good young players in now who maybe will shine for us in a year or two.

When did you start following Leicester?

We've played 2 (or 3) pre-season games.

We've not had the squad together for more than a couple of days.

We've travelled to the other side of the states

Players think they're on holiday

We have won the prem in my lifetime so who cares?

Players think they are on holiday? That's the problem - if I went back to work still in 'holiday mode' I'd be sacked!!! Too much money with some of them... I'm sorry that's no excuse.

If your boss flew you out to California - or even Skegg - for a week and arranged some fun trips and celeb meet-ups. You'd think you were on holiday.

Get over yourself.

The way they have worked in that heat!  Suspect the coaching staff would have preferred being in cooler temps so could have done a bit more.

we we have started every season recently in a sharper state that most of the opposition. I hope we don't lose that advantage this campaign.

I have no doubt this is exactly what Ranieri has said to the players, something along the lines of - look, we all know this flying across the world to play pre-season is nonsense, so just relax, enjoy it, build your fitness and gain some experience of playing a quality opponent.

Being heavily beaten (in pre-season) isn't an issue, it's how you learn from it, and I have no doubt if we came up against a team of PSG's calibre in either in the PL or CL, we'll have taken something from this. And it won't be that we're paying these players too much!

Yes I agree.

My point was that of course we should aim high but that if for whatever reason we do finish mid table or God forbid any lower then I sincerely hope no one gets our players backs!

I'm not naive enough to think football results are sorted according to who is best on paper but we are still probably around 8-10 in terms of odds to win the league and also in wage bill.

Of course we achieved greater than what we thought was possible last year but again I'm just saying we can of course aim for that again but likelihood is that sadly we won't win the league again and may well not finish top 8 so please be prepared should we not as it seems some people's lives might not be worth living!

Well I certainly don't EXPECT, I am hopeful though that we can still finish above one or two of the big six and show some degree of competitiveness of what we were last season.

I never said I'd get on the players backs if they don't perform to my expectations and I don't believe anyone else on this thread has said they would so I'm not sure why you're insinuating people like me who have high expectations would? What will be will be but 8th to me is the signal that this era is now over and the only way is backwards. My ambitions for my club are not to become the new "Stoke". A year or two a go I'd have taken that but not now.

Leicester City my life, as an Aussie who got the premiership tattoo, today a 4-0 loss to PSG  I really couldn't give a shit, our team will produce the goods in the premier league, that's al that matters.

Your problem is you are to level headed and think about things. You really do need to overreact more to fit in here. Now can you please put in a proper post calling for manager and players to be sack or saying we have to spend 20billion before Monday lunch time.

I didn't say you necessarily would get on the players backs. But generally I think it's fair to assume that if your expectations are for example that we should finish say 4th -6th then surely you won't be happy if we were 12th after 20 games and that would likely result in voicing your complaints I'd have thought..

And I'm with you exactly that two years ago I'd have taken us doing a stoke and consolidating on mid table finishes.

But even if we do do a 'stoke' this year and finish 9th then we will never be them because we've just won the title! And for that I'll always be happy!

Teams will make it even harder for us this year so just hoping whatever happens that everyone will be behind them!

Anyway just wanted to explain my point, didn't mean to accuse you of being someone who might boo players etc

We had a massive turnout in LA. This shows unprecedented growth of the Leicester brand. There has been virtually no evidence of a fan base over here until last year happened, now you see us all over. Not to the level of the big teams, but the change is remarkable.  And it is happening all over the world.

I expect the management will want to consolidate this success to ensure the growth continues. Of course this was a stage to do so, but it's also just a friendly. I watched a strong Chelsea look poor against a weak Real Madrid's team.  Nobody cared about the result, it was all about the brand for both teams.

None of this will stop our fans from clinging to their worries though: We're like: "They're ours, the Precioussssss".

But will the Yanks just move onto the next "footie thing" in 12 months time?

Being a winner is fleeting, being Leicester is forever.

Leicester captured people's hearts like few sports stories do. I don't recall a prior 'footie thing' like this, and I don't think folks will move on so soon.  Just my opinion.

Aye that'll solve everything. Throw money at expensive players and hope it works.
