Judging by this performance...

I'm afraid where we are now means we have a pre-season that is heavy on travel and commercial opportunity but light on games and squad development. I'm not too concerned about this result as, yes, it's a friendly, but I do feel we would have benefitted from a couple more games in this pre-season against teams that would enable the newcomers to adapt more gradually into the team method and the intensity of the league they're going to be playing in week after week.

My gut is that we probably arrange something behind closed doors after Wembley

I'm not worried but I am a little confused as to why we haven't tried 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 yet.

It's immediately clear that neither Amartey nor Mendy will be able to do the work of NGK on their own, so we probably need 2 bods in there with Drinkwater. Which combination from DA, NM and AK, I'm not sure.

If the season started tomorrow, Gray and Chilwell must start. Particularly the latter as Fuchs looks off the pace (although we can't moan too much he'd only played 20 mins at left wing vs Celtic before tonight!)

Don't NGK make spark plugs?

Coincidence?.. As he certainly was our Spark last season!..

Irreplaceable!!!!!

Wellens you ****, why do this to us?

Take a look at yourselves, we played PSG! A PSG ahead of us in terms of their pre-season prep. Lets stop taking the Arsenal/Spurs mentality after last season and be Leicester. Christ knows what will happen when we lose more than 3 games in the league next year.

If you are looking at that performance and not concerned then your expectations are that mid table is brilliant. We were well and truly done, and I hope Ranieri and the staff aren't accepting mid table next season and don't look on that performance with any positives.

I think our stock and reputation as a football club will never get any higher than it is now.

If I'm honest, I'm somewhat disappointed we're not taking advantage of this and pursuing big name, big money targets. I mean even West Ham went in for Lacazette.

Yes, I know the 'don't disturb the fabric of the team' etc etc no big egoes, yes I get the argument.

But It's like buying a Ferrari; you don't go into the dealership and base your decision on how much legroom there is in the rear, the fuel economy or the size of the boot. It's a fcucking ferrari, it goes fast and looks cool!

Just forced myself to watch the highlights.

The first was a pen, fair enough. The next three we seemed all over the place.

The fact we failed to put away at least one of a number of easy chances concerns me a bit.

Your expectations for next season are delusional. We're Leicester, not Barcelona. Mid table next year would be perfectly fine with the vast majority of fans.

Well then you aren't seeing how has a club we have the opportunity to do more and expect better. The money is there, we have CL football, so why not try to sustain it... We won the league for god sake we haven't just been promoted

Put this into context. It was our third pre season game, many of the team played 45 mins, others 60/30.

PSG are a class side with world class players. They ran away with the French league and will hope to be CL quarter, semi or even finalists this season.

They were ahead of us in preparation and have beaten both Inter and Real Madrid 3-1 before playing City.

Any 4 goal defeat is dissappointing but there will be lessons learned and, after Barca, we will meet few better teams this season.

I'm not too fussed about the score as PSG are a team that has been built to try and win the Champions League.  We needed to be more clinical in front of goal, the score suggests that we didn't have any chances but we just couldn't finish.  There were several flashes of play that were great but just at the end the sharpness wasn't there.

The third goal, Simpson normally would have closed that down but let him cross.  Albrighton looked rusty in his delivery and defensive side but we know what he can do.

Mendy needs to get up to speed quickly, he isn't doing one thing particularly.  He didn't seem to be attacking enough,

I hope we can play our strongest team in the next two games.  Leo put himself about but it didn't really come to anything.  I would've liked to see a few balls over the top to Musa.

I've no worries for Hull as we all know what this team can do.

Because we all know that the performance bares no resemblance to what this squad is capable of. This part of the season is about fitness and we looked right where we should be going into the new season from that aspect. Yes the performance was nowhere near a footballing masterclass but it was nowhere near the standard we know these lads can produce.

The championship exactly, they weren't crowned champions of England... can we please expect more. Given what has been achieved?

They got spanked by a lower division side and went into win their league. No it wasn't the premier league, but imagine if they'd reacted like you have when losing heavily in preseason, and they lost to Leyton ****ing Orient. We've just lost to PSG, and they are much better than Leyton Orient, or even a championship team, seeing as we're in the premier league. What the Newcastle result proves is this has no baring on our season, same as if we'd lost 6-1 to Birmingham.

Man utd will be much stronger this coming season, it'll be a tougher Premiership.  What we achieved was amazing but to think we'll be a top 4 side consistently isn't realistic.  PSG are one of the best sides in Europe and will beat (and have beaten) most sides in the world.

If we lose 4-0 and our expectations are now dropping to a mid-table finish then that says all you need to know about the match.

I'd like to think Claudio and the boys are similarly disappointed and aren't coming out with crap like 'we're Leicester so we'll be happy with mid-table'. This is the time to be showing ambition and we should be setting ourselves the target of defending our title and doing well in the Champions League. And our signings should reflect this, there's no doubt at all we need another clinical finisher in the side. Replacing Kante was always going to be nigh on impossible.

It's not a good result and we have hopefully learned something from it. It certainly doesn't mean we need to panic though, pre-season is the time to make mistakes and play shit and realise where we still need to improve.
