Guest the fox Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 it's sad that i and other sane fans here have to defend the pfa player of the season in his own team's forums. and even worse. the accusations that some "fans" here are saying. "oh he is not putting 100 %" " oh his heart is not in it" "he should be benched" and other things. other team's fans will give their first born to just see mahrez play on there team . just because he didn't nutmeg and dribble past 3 players and score a screamer doesn't mean his is not working hard for the team. some "fans" hold mahrez to standers that even barca don't hold messi to them . you see after a bad performance barca fans say "oh well. messi is human after all. we can't expect him to tear the league apart every game" . oh but no. not here. mahrez should be the best player in the league week in week out or he is not giving his all. and what angers me the most is the fact that "fans" that slay mahrez after every average performance. don't even acknowledge him after a great performance.no one of the supposed "fans" came to the thread about mahrez winning the pfa player of the season to say anything. in conclusion. if mahrez leave(hopefully he doesn't). you "fans" should not come to the thread to say anything. not a single word. we all know what you think about him. you wanted him put in the bench. here is something even better. he leaves. so don't come and call him a traitor because you are the traitors for not standing behind your player edit: being a fan for just two years does not mean i support this club any less than people how are fans for 20 years
ARTY_FOX Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 To be fair I think everyone does love mahrez and would be over the moon if he stayed. Pointing out he's not been at his best isn't wrong. Besides last time he was benched he came back all guns blazing and became pfa player of the year Edit: Id rather he wasn't benched though. He's a player that can create that magic on his worst of days and on his best we all know what he can do
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 Yes! I cannot understand why people are so two faced. Stand by him, as he is a great player.

Nobody is disrespecting Mahrez but blind following is not the answer either. He clearly has had his head turned, on his day he is one of the best in the world but lately he has looked completely disinterested.
Monsell1976 Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 How anybody can slate him is beyond me, he's world class, and will frustrate at times, but in the same breath, he can turn a game our way, with a moment of brilliance. Lose mahrez, I fear for us, we have nobody with his creative skill

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 Forget the thread, how was the username "the fox" not taken before December 2015?!
AlgerianFox Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 They love him ya wlid bladi...they love him passionately. Very few slag him down everytime he doesn't produce the goods...and they are not around praising him when he is fantastic fabulous and match winning form...what do you make of it...nothing; they are obsolète. Ps: for the very few: I am not a LCFC fan and will stop following LCFC if Mahrez leave..until then I wish you well.
smr Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 I love Riyad. But I said to my Dad as we were walking out of Wembley ... the thing with Mahrez is sometimes his body language appears to make it look like he's not putting the effort in, he most probably is - I'm talking about the last few games - but last season during the PL campaign, in my eyes he definitely looked a bit hungrier, a bit sharper and more up for it ... But then who knows .. these games are all essentially friendlies we've just had , maybe he's saving his 100 percent energy for the PL.... maybe he's a little distracted as Claudio said by these rumours and that's unsettling him a bit. But whatever, he made a massive contribution to us winning the league last year and without him we couldn't have done it imo, I'll give him all the time in the world and certainly won't be getting on his back if he's not looking 100percent every game. And as my Dad said, jet lag can be killer, took him two weeks to feel right after he went to America once! These guys haven't hopped onto the coach to Crewe or Ipswich for their pre-season friendlies and maybe that's taken it's toll on him, as well as being tired from the phenomenal effort and shift he put in throughout the whole of last season.... give him time and he'll be back to his world class best soon enough.
EGBFitness Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 I think with everything you need to take the credit with the criticism. Im a Mahrez fan, give him a split second and he can be the difference in a game, he can be a dream to watch and can be a defenders nightmare. His performances last year was a huge contribution to our success and every reason to become PFA POTY. I like many others have been slightly disappointed with his performances against Barca and Man Utd - I think it's fair to suggest he has been non-existent and very wasteful in both games. This isn't a rant, it isn't abuse/ranting etc whatever some might consider it to be - I think it's pretty fair criticism, as I'm sure many professionals will be aware if they have performed or not wether by themselves or a manager/coach. Just because he has been criticised it doesn't mean he isn't liked, I'm sure/hope like many others Mahrez will come good starting on Saturday and have another sensational season

Fox92 Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 If ANY player doesn't put in 100% then I'll complain, I don't care if he's world player of they year. Anything we've achieved doesn't mean we should gloss over anything.

Fox96 Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 Saying that he hasn't been giving 100% doesn't mean you're not supporting him though. I think every supporter of LCFC loves Mahrez and what he can do, but there's no point praising him for recent performances when he's been lacklustre. However, I do believe if he does stay, he should start against Hull. Should get him back on form. But that is if he is still here. We could do with Riyad either outrightly committing his future or moving on.

moseeds Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 Assuming he's still here against Hull, I got a feeling we're in for a Mahrez masterclass. Expect some Hull defenders to be reported dead by 3pm Saturday.
MarriedaLeicesterGirl Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 When they said Vardy came to terms over a month before he actually put pen to paper, it was a terse statement from the club. Vichai has been posting photos of himself grabbing Mahrez by the ears, saying he's not for sale. I think he will be playing at Hull on Saturday.
GaelicFox Posted 9 August 2016 Posted 9 August 2016 Love him edit: why are were now notifying people of Edits ?
