Probably helps if reporters ask something new. He said all this about six weeks ago when he got the Derby job. I doubt he's changed his mind since.

 

But given the press decided to clamber over each other to tell us how much it was down to Pearson just months after saying he should be sacked I'm not surprised they want to milk it a bit more.

Never had a problem with him, though he knows he made himself silly by the swearing at fan and ostrich situations. Wouldn't think his relationship with son is at its highest after Thailand.

 

Speaks how things are and truthfully reflective. Perhaps the club could've appreciated him more but he hasn't really complained about his treatment.

Fair enough for him to feel detatched from it. The Leicester City that won the league was a different beast to the one that he left behind - in formation, in the players selected to play and in their tactical understanding.

 

Pearson built the foundations; the sports science, the right blend of characters, the backroom staff and the attitude. But Ranieri added the media management, the man management and the tactical nous to take us to an entirely different level.

 

I'm sure he's pleased for the likes of Shakespeare, Vardy and Morgan but there's no need for him to feel attached to the title success. In fact, humble of him to distance himself from it and try to put to bed him continually be asked about it. Can't be nice when you've been sacked yet people won't let you move on from it.
