Kasper's distribution.

His distribution is fine, don't think people realise how hard it is to keep possession with long balls when your team is one of the smallest in the league. Look at his chance creation in comparison to other keepers in the league last season, I'm sure he'll be one of the highest

I'd be worried if he couldn't roll the ball 10 yards into space.

I think most are getting annoyed as his long punts yesterday were getting us no where.  We barely won the ball from one of his kicks yesterday and it felt like we were giving away our limited possession too easily to an Arsenal team who hold onto the ball and can string more than two passes together.

His distribution on the break is great and has created a lot of goals but yesterday his kicks were very wasteful.  You would think that they would at least try to play the ball out from the back with Simpson looking for Riyad rather than a long ball that he has to try and control on the line with his head.  At one point we were attacking Arsenal and looking on the front foot and somehow the ball gets played around and ends up at Kasper, who punts it long to an Arsenal player who then starts an attack off.  They need to mix the play up.

His distribution was poor yesterday. Spent the whole game trying quick long balls which got us absolutely nowhere, then started hanging onto the ball when the game became stretched and we actually had some space to run into up front.

distribution is distribution. We'd all be on his back if back then he ruined that counter attack opportunity.

I can upload Junior Lewis' only goal for us, doesn't mean he scored every week.

that's not the point I'm making though?

some are saying that it's always bad. It's not. I'm not saying his distribution is the best in the world but I think a lot of people are exaggerating about it all.

It's inconsistent. It's as if he doesn't think though. We often see full backs come short when they've got time but he just tells them to go away, kicks it long and bang straight out of play. We play too many aimless balls forward considering we're not a big side.

I think the criticism of his distribution is exaggerated. 50-60 yard passes to the wings are always going to be 50/50 balls. That's how he's been told to play and it often works.

Agreed. In fact, overall his distribution is a strength, not a weakness....just not yesterday, when he did have an off-day with his distribution.

Most games he'll create several dangerous breaks with his clearances - and sometimes produces stunning curling long throws to the wings. Of course, even on a good day, some kicks will go astray, but that's inevitable kicking the ball a long distance into an area with a number of players in relatively close proximity (even when the game is stretched) - and when he's often doing it at haste to catch opponents out of position.

I can understand him hanging onto the ball at times yesterday to kill the game - or to allow teammates to get their breath back after it became an end-to-end game later on (no good kicking the ball quickly to one bloke in space if all his teammates are knackered from having just run up and down the pitch twice in a minute after 80 mins of play). His kicking was distinctly poorer than average yesterday, though....bad day at the office, but he has a lot more good days.
