FireFox Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 Ulloa if on pitch. Zieler if not. If neither are, then I guess Fuchs or Vardy. I never trust Vardy's but havent seen enough from Fuchs.

Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 Get Mahrez off dem quick time. If the goalkeeper goes the right way he will save it and if you've only got a fifty percent chance of scoring a peno then just leave.
SystonFox Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 You never trust Vardys? Aside from the second Everton home penalty which lets be honest was an exhibition game has he ever missed for Lcfc? its like people slated Nugents penalty record (which didn't count anyway) despite him having a near perfect record

Tielemans63 Posted 27 August 2016 Posted 27 August 2016 Let's get Paul Gallagher back. He was brilliant at pens. He always smashed it right down the middle but somehow goalies never seemed to get near it.

Also to keep him as happy as possible while the contract situation was ongoing. Plus Vardy skied the most recent pen last season as well. Think Claudio will go back to Vardy. No idea who the best is though. Edit: I wonder if part of the reason for the poorly taken pen was that Mahrez has changed his run-up technique, last season he would stagger his run-up, this season he has not done that I assume because of some new PL rule about staggering run-ups? Looked to me almost like he instinctively wanted to stagger, but in the middle of the run-up realised he couldn't, and that threw him off somewhat? Or maybe he's just not very good at pens It does not really matter what the reason is for missing them is. If you only convert 4/8 that's very poor indeed. As you say he's simply no good at it. Why its reverted to Mahrez is absolutely baffling given his poor form, coupled the with the above stats. Vardy has missed one when the game was already in the bag - he should be taking them.

I think you will find Nugent's penalty record in the Championship was nowhere near perfect. This is from memory but at one point he was 7/10 - that is not good enough.
