Great signing.

Not considering stricker's from the biggest european Clubs [Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern,..], Slimani is among the best strikers playing in Europe.

He will not give up from one single ball - even if it's a 'lost ball' for everyone else, he will try to get that ball inside the net.

He is a very professional and dedicated player. I only saw such professional behaviour and mental strenght in C. Ronaldo. Believe me.

Obviously C. Ronaldo is by far a more skilled player. But in mental strength and dedication Slimani is at least very close.

When Slimani got to Sporting CP 3 years ago was what we call 'Pinheiro' [aka Pine tree] player: a tall player [1.88m is above average in our league] that knows how to score goals with is head, but bad when playing with is feet.

But right now is a very skilled striker, he evolved so much that is a completely different player. He isn't a Messi, capable of dribbling 4 or 5 players with the ball in his feet, but he is a complete striker, able to score from a lot of positions.

Most of this Slimani evolution as a good player came from his dedication and his strength even when he was in the bench [in the first season], he never gives up.

I'm sure he will be a very successful player in LCFC.

From Sporting CP side this was a good transfer too - even if it's difficult to get such a prolific striker as Slimani.

28 years old. this was probably the last year Sporting could receive a big transfer fee. Also, Slimani as an african player that plays in is national team he will play the CAN/Africa Cup of Nations in February and he will be out at least 6/7 weeks.

Also, it was our President promise that he would let Slimani go if someone pays a fee similar to his release clause [it was 30M]. Slimani last year made what Adrien Silva made this year: a 'public' request in the newspapers for a transfer -  and Sporting President didn't let him go last year but promissed to Slimani that this year he would let go if someone pays the fee.

So guys, if LCFC is still interested in Adrien Silva next year, probably LCFC will get him too. :)

All LCFC and Adrien Silva need is.. not going to the newspapers request for a transfer.

So, Ian Bolton from SSN has been outside our club all day telling the same

story over and over about Slimani - and still can't pronounce his feckin' name!!!!!!!!

This is also the same moron who enjoyed watching Andy King apparently play alongside Danny Drinkwater against Swansea!?

He'll fit right in here. We also love grafters and hard workers. I can't wait to watch Vardy and Slimani together up top.

Can he take penalties?

Slimani is good when taking penalties.

But Adrien Silva is even better. lol

Adrien Silva was the 1st penalty taker and Slimani was the second.

Can't wait to see Vardy and Slimani together too.

Two great strikers, among the best in Premier league.
