Wrong. Wrong. WRONG!  Unless you’re Claudio Ranieri?

Shinji’s job is to do what’s asked of him by the Manager.  Not you! :)

Playing two out-and-out strikers is a fair enough tactic. But that’s not the system that Ranieri plays.  We play one out-and-out striker (Vardy) and a support striker (Okasaki).  You can't criticise Okasaki because he's not playing the role that you want him to play!

It really doesn’t matter what you call Okasaki’s position: CM, striker, support striker) or what you call the formation we play (442, 4411).  The only thing that’s worth measuring is his contribution to a winning team. It’s in that sense that people are saying he’s been outstanding.

I hear your point and I respect Okazaki's dedication and hardwork, but you'll realize in few weeks what i was getting at

As Algerian again saluting evey Sporting fan in here and in Portugal. Slimani was furtunate to be part in Sporting and fortunate to have had all the true support from Sporting fans that I witnessed throughout the 3 years.

I am sure Slimani will never forget Sporting nor the fans and he is sincerely thankful as we are as Algerian fans. Slimani is your kid, Sporting is his home.

Hoping he will, here at Leicester, be treated as good as the Sporting fans, really they brought out the best of him.

Good luck to Sporing good luck to Leicester and good good luck to Slimani

Slimani just left a message on Sporting's Official site and Facebook page which I will now translate in order for you guys to see what kind of a man he is:

" It is with bitter sweetness that I write this message to you all, Sporting fans who have cheered and supported me and chanted my name from the stands. You all live in my heart

and there I will keep you forever. My experience in this Club, that has become my family, has allowed me to progress and to keep on rising higher and higher and it is all thanks to you.

I would also like to thank all my companions over these last beautiful years, my teammates with whom I have shared brilliant moments and to wish all the best to the coaches who trusted me

and taught me so much. Thank you to all the medical and technical staff and to all the people who worked with me at the Club. Thank you for supporting me over all these years, for trusting and

loving me.

I read plenty of the comments, of these so faithful Sporting fans and I thank you for all the amazing messages who have gone straight to my heart. You live in me, in my heart. I'm off to start

a new life but Sporting will forever stay in my heart and I will be a Lion forever".

You will always be in ours, Slimani. We will never forget your hardwork and professionalism even when you knew you were going to leave. You still made the difference in your last match vs Porto

scoring the goal that would turn the match. Best of luck in your new life playing for Leicester.

If u can't see wot Okazaki brings to our team u my friend is a ostrich

I can see exactly what he brings.  Five goals, zero assists, falls down a lot and gets subbed at half time.

That's it.

Certainly excited by this. The question is, does he take Okazaki's place? He must do right?

My worry there is, we've lost the protection of Kante in the middle. Add to that the loss of Okazaki's contribution to the midfield effort, it could leave us exposed.

Could see DD and Amartey both sitting deep holding a line, with Musa and Mahrez playing high, with 2 up top.

Seeing as many are saying he's an upgrade on Ulloa and we won't see Leo play much, maybe Slimani can nick his chant lol

Ohhh his name is Islam Slimaniiiiiii

Leicesters number nineteeeeeeen

YES HE COST A FVCKIN FORTUUUUUNE

But he scores goals so that's alright with meeeeee

Bit of a stretch maybe?

Change it to names instead of name is and it's more manageable.

Unless we're about to be stripped of last season's Premiership title because Okasaki didn't score enough goals then i seriously doubt that.

you're not making sense. how could we of put all our eggs in one basket when we were clearly fighting to the last minute to try and get Silva...?

I mean we concentrated all on silva when maybe we should of had a back up cm incase we couldn't get him

True if Okazaki hadn't played last season vardy wouldn't have scored all them goals u put slimani in yer he might get us 15 goals but i then think vardy will then not get has much
