Posted 16 September 2016 Posted 16 September 2016 Great to see some love for Albrighton his work rate and effort is one of the key components that makes our formation tick and we missed him against Hull. We know Mahrez's strengths and his weaknesses, a solid and compact left flank allows the midfield to focus on plugging holes on the right and allowing for Mahrez's mercurial talents. The problem is you can't just take Albrighton out the team without making other changes to compensate for the drop in work rate. Great to see him score too. Think it is a little harsh on Slimani, he made a right nuisance of himself all game, won the ball a number of times, but naturally doesn't have the understanding with Vardy and Drinkwater yet.
eblair Posted 16 September 2016 Posted 16 September 2016 Ratings for referees are my favourite, so clearly depends on the final result; brugge should have had 3 maybe 4 players sent off and he was our second best ref this year hahaha

Because he can defend he's always going to be useful backup for Fuchs/Simpson in matches, but not only that he can pick out a pass/cross going forward too.

RastaDog Posted 16 September 2016 Posted 16 September 2016 I've been to both Swansea and Bruges but I shall not make my views on their relative merits, or otherwise, public. The fact that my wife's from Swansea has nothing to do with that decision! With regards to the teams, I only really remember Swansea being for the large part clueless. Admittedly though, I don't really remember how well the opposition played in past games - so I tend not to make judgements on who was worse. (That said, I do remember Newcastle being dire, so there are exceptions to that rule!) I largely concern myself with who's next. So, yes, within that context I do find it interesting/informative that people generally found that Club Brugge were worse than Swansea.
Dan Posted 16 September 2016 Posted 16 September 2016 I'd say Swansea actually edged Brugge which is a sad reflection on how Brugge played, because Swansea were very lucky to lose 2-1.
Dickov22 Posted 16 September 2016 Posted 16 September 2016 Brugge were better than Swansea. They had a few chances and the lad upfront looked decent. Swansea were lucky to get a goal at our place. We could have won about 6-1 and it wouldn't have been unfair on them.

Under the new rules their keeper only get yellow as we got a penalty. The other one with Vardy was too far out with covering defenders to bring out a red. Cant think of the other 2 reds you mentioned.
