Bought a Yacht.

As if it was ever in doubt, Leicester City are definitely swimming with the big fish after their owner splashed out on a £11-million super-yacht.

With the Foxes are rubbing shoulders with Europe's elite in the Champions League, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha could soon be doing the same in the playgrounds of the rich and famous.

His new purchase will certainly turn heads in even the most exclusive of luxury ports such as Monaco, Saint-Tropez and Capri.

The 58-year-old Thai billionaire looks to have treated himself after City's historic Premier League triumph, having already rewarded his 19 title-winning players with a £100,000 luxury BMW i8 sports car each.

The yacht is currently anchored in Poole Harbour, Dorset, awaiting delivery.

It is branded with the King Power logo of his the Foxes' chairman's duty free empire – and, of course, City's stadium.

The 116ft vessel, which has a top speed of 26 knots, boasts five luxury overnight cabins, bars, bathrooms and lavish lounge areas.

It is understood to have been purchased directly from prestigious British luxury motor yacht manufacturer Sunseeker International, although the firm said it would not comment on any of its customers.

Vichai, as he is known by the City fans, acquired the football club in 2010.

Powered by two diesel engines and with a range of 1,250 nautical miles, Sunseeker said it has a master suite, two double cabins, two twin cabins and is also capable of carrying up to five crew onboard to ensure a "relaxed luxury yacht experience".

The model can even accommodate its own hot tub if the buyer wishes, though it is not known if the Foxes supremo has opted to install one.

Mr Srivaddhanaprabha is Thailand's seventh richest man according to Forbes, and is also a keen polo player.

It is believed that the yacht's home port will be George Town, in Malaysia.

£11million isn't super yacht territory, you need to start at nearer £60million, this is just a yacht.

Still nice to be able to afford something like that with running costs of such things so expensive, plus staff.

You know, for the faith and care the family have placed into the club, lets not talk about the vulgarity of the money... good for them, hope Vichai enjoys it and long may they enjoy the investment they've made in the club ... Champions and long may it reign!

It's barely a yacht. It's a boat. Wish I had the cash. But there's boats like that in Torquay.  That wouldn't look all that in ibiza town.

Seems a bit tight when they can splash 70 odd on a plane. lol

Why is this in the football section?

Because he's the chairman of Leicester City perhaps? Or maybe it should be in the yacht section? Or the cars for our players should be in the car section. And the thread on Vardy's book should be in the book section. Etc, etc....

A yacht is a recreational boat or ship either a sailing or power boat, but yes it is a boat.

No doubt it's a business tool too and one would guess you could charter it for a week or two if ones pockets were deep enough or it's going to get very little use.

Another point to add, annual maintenance and operational costs of these are said to be 10% of the original costs, eye watering figures on their own.

Ok, well you can all admire his wad and take vicarious pleasure from it...

You know I love you HPF :P

I don't take any particular personal pleasure in it but good for him I say. I'm sure he's worked hard, taken risks and made good investments in his time, so I won't begrudge him the luxurys in life. I'm proud he's our chairman and feel very fortunate that he is.

I don't disagree with any of that, it just feels wrong seeing it here etc. Not as bad as watching England trying to lose however...
