No need for a yellow, had control of the game, and went unnoticed, other than playing advantage for our 2nd goal. Probably the only two mistakes: The lino should have called offside for that thru ball to Benteke, and they played a free kick early, but ball was still moving, they got a corner out of it. Didn't cost us though.
steflcfc Posted 22 October 2016 Posted 22 October 2016 Today's ref had a good game, fouls were just that, no malice and no cards needed for both teams. Tried to let the game flow at times and didn't really put a foot wrong.

Good man management and let the game tick over without a need to card anyone, a lot of other PL refs would have caused problems for themselves. Played a great advantage for Shinjis goal too, might as well have been an assist as a lot of refs would have blown early instead of letting play continue. Only downside was one of the linos seemed to let him down a fair bit and forced him into blowing for a foul when he wasn't going to give it. Also the odd questionable offside but nothing that effected the game in any way.

Well, no But there were plenty of times where the game could have been waved play on or he pulled up on little things but failed to do the same to the other side. Calling him shit is a bit OTT to be fair, but he was nowhere near the league of the bloke we had on Tuesday.
