Have we been relegated already??

I'm usually a glass half empty kind of person and am awful after defeat but yesterday's result the pain drifted away a lot quicker than usual.

Only caught the second half and to be honest couldn't believe we weren't able to grab an equalizer at least (there was only one team in it). We lost by one goal in the last 2 matches when on another day it could have quite easily have gone our way....we are easily as good if not better than West Brom and Watford. Watford were dirty b###ards who couldn't string 2 bloody passes together!!

I personally did not see any lack of effort from any player and Huth, Morgan, Simpson and Fuchs cleared up everything that came their way. Amarteys effort is there and he wins a lot in the air but really should not be depended upon in a central 2 (he's young and often naive).

Vardys getting zero service so we can't really blame him for not scoring and Mahrez is trying one trick to many and needs to pass it quicker instead of trying to take on the entire other team.

What I'm saying is despite some woeful performances this season yesterday was not necessarily one of them and I believe it will soon click again for us.

NOW THE MAIN PROBLEM : Not just the loss of Kante but the lack of central midfield options (both defensive and offensive) preferably with top flight experience. The season before last we had Cambiasso and we need (imo) to find another legend like him to calm things down and get us on the ball (Drinkwater is being asked to do far to much) due to the lack of cover and this might explain the mistakes he's making as we can not afford to not pick him for EVERY game.

Ranieris was not to know that Amartey wouldn't be good enough nor that Mendy would get a long term injury straight away.

I really believe that get ourselves to Xmas (get CL out of the way) sign back up especially in CM and we will be fine this season.

Everyone needs to chill out and remember there are far worse teams than us in the league!! Would you rather be Sunderland, Palace, West Ham or Swansea fans??? Christ even Soton are only 2 points above is and they'll probably be quite happy with their season so far.

Is that copied from Ranieri's script?....i appreciate there may be worse teams but we are supposed to be PL champions and loosing to the likes of Hull, WBA and Warford as well as getting humiliated by all the 'big' teams we have played kinda makes a mockery of it.

I am not happy settling for the fact there are 'worse' teams.

You fancy our chances at Sunderland then?

I don't see how we can be thinking it's anything other but another away defeat on the cards given our form, and them stringing two decent results together. Its a momumental turn around of events to be saying that about Sunderland.

Yes according to everyone on this forum. People need to have a word, once we qualify tomorrow watch us tear Middlesbrough a new one Saturday.

New times at our club but as the saying goes.

Keep the faith.

Yes, tearing Middlesbrough a new one probably won't be happening - if it was that easy we would have done that to Hull, West Brom and Watford. Losing is a habit just as winning is, and I don't really buy into the tiredness issue with the Champions League either. Poor play all around is the big issue and that includes games in the CL, where we have beaten poor teams.

I would be over the moon with 4pts from Boro and Sunderland.

On the topic in question - I'm at risk of repeating myself - I don't think we will go down but it's infinitely more likely than the chances of us winning the PL were last season, which should make people at least entertain the notion that it could happen.

We are, and it means absolutely nothing in terms of this season.

If Chelsea can go through last season then we sure as hell can. We don't have the infrastructure in place to compete on all fronts at the moment, last season was premature and now we are feeling the effect of our mass delusions of grandeur.

We have effectively built a sky scraper on the foundations of a house, we are seeing the problems associated with such a way of building and it will take a while for things to level off.

We are the twin towers of football!

That would be great- we would probably find ourselves in the comfort of midtable, and relegation would seem a million miles away.

Things change quickly in football- 4 points from similar fixtures back in March would have seemed like a disaster!

Middlesbrough are organised good side and don't concede many. Picked up results at the Etihad and the Emirates already this season.

I highly doubt we will 'tear them a new one'. Weren't we supposed to do that to West Brom too?

It's not just about our results, it's about our performances too. And our performances have been very poor. Off the top of my head I count 3.5 good halves off football (Even Swansea second half was poor and Southampton was worse as they deserved to beat us).

You do realise I was being sarcastic right?

As has been shown before under Pearson we are a more than capable squad who are a confidence team. When we play with confidence and our heads high we are extremely hard to beat. we are not already relegated nor do I think we will be relegated any time soon.
