Congratulations.  Not bad for a first CL campagne. Now you boys can relax in beautiful Porto and draw an exiting team in the next round.

Just back home from your 'lovely' city :P

Thanks for having us. Next time, provide more proper beer. I can't believe you underestimated us Belgians on that one.

On the game, our cab driver - nice bloke - said it best: first half you were shit, second half we were shit.

That goal from Joske, our winger, eased the pain. What a fantastic finish. He is for sale btw, but it'll cost you.

Good luck in the next round!

Nope...He's a little bit crap. Can't see the point of buying a keeper thats no better than Hamer. Quite like the idea of last year and getting an oldie in as no 2.

Just to balance it out..Hes a good, and more than a usefull GK. You underrate him  for reasons I dont understand nor agree

with any negative remarks towards him...

Its just that Negative Leicester vibe, that many seemed to have inherited from grumpy old men....:P

Think it was Brian Clough who said football is a game of two halves!

Got to bring that first half performance to the PL. Also to those saying we just looked good (first half) because Brugge are poor, perhaps we just made them look worse than they are by playing our more pressing, higher tempo game from last season.

Play the reserves against Porto and get back to all out in the PL.

Did anybody realize how far up the Bruges half Huth was just before they scored?

It was suicidal all around - the throw-in and the positioning of the players. For some unknown reason we went gung-ho for about ten minutes before they scored.

What annoyed me even more was that there was an ideal to just take him out, take the yellow card and defend the free-kick (which is what 85% of European teams would have done)

We battered them for first few minutes of second half but probably got a bit carried away looking for a third.Vardys goal looked Ok haven't seen a replay.

Wheres my Jeff Schlupp thread gone ? Tried a little humour but happy hes Ok .May have been going a little to fast though.

Well there we go - Southampton another English team in a tricky situation with so called easier opponents

This shows why Ranieri was the perfect man to lead us in the Champions League- he knows the competition, our strengths and weaknesses and the opposition's too. It hasn't been all that pretty but professionally done. We have played like a team with know-how which is some going given the players' relative inexperience.

5 games in 14 days because of a midweek league game. Then 9 days off until boxing day. So yeah, we have to do something.

For the sake of sportsmanship, Leicester needs to go to Porto and work very hard to win that game. Otherwise, It would be massively unfair to the Danes who are also fighting for that 2nd spot. Remember, that's why the last group games are all played at the same time (it all started after the Germany/Austria shameful setup in 1982 WC)

Its an interesting point and I know that approach does take a high level of fitness, but I'm not sure its any more demanding than for example the constant last ditching defending (which appears to be the extreme alternative) of the second half of last night's match.

When we really press, not only does the opposition make odd mistakes, but also it seems to afford us a bit more space and time on the ball as well, somehow.

Interesting point anyway. Not sure I entirely agree with you - but the common ground I'm sure we'd agree on is that we need other options in the middle if we are to play a high energy pressing game.

Absolutely! Our midfield is so weak at the moment. We need 2 if not 3 new centre mids
