Plus UEFA will keep an eye on the squad we put out.

I'd see pissing UEFA off as another reason for fielding a weaker side.

I would personally but would not look good on the club.

Enjoyed the last 10 minutes.

That felt like last seasons Leicester with us helping the boys over the line. Hanging in there defensively whilst having a cutting edge on the counter, except this time Gray was the spark instead of Riyad.

Drinky cannot play, the rest can fooking play

I think most will. Was mentioned on RL that Huth and Slim are a yellow from suspension so expect to see them rested. Drinks and Morgan have played loads of minutes so would consider those too.

Well what an achievement! I know people want to beat us up (even some of our own in here) but we need to put things into perspective. 8 years ago today we beat Scunthorpe 2-1 in a League 1 game thanks to a Kingy winner in a side that contained the likes of Henderson, Tunchev, Mattock, Oakley and DJ Campbell. Nearly 4 years ago we were losing 1-0 at Leeds in the Championship in a side that contained the likes of Whitebread, Marshall, Dyer and Waghorn. Today we qualified for the knock out stages of the Champions League in a side that had 30m Algerian star striker Slimani out injured, 15m Mendy injured, a 5m superkid in Gray on the bench (worth 20m now IMO), 15m Nigerian international Musa on the bench, Polish International Kapustka not even getting in match day squads and numerous players like Schlupp and Ulloa who dont start but are linked to 10m transfers out but to fellow prem clubs. Once again we have come along way.

Im so proud to be a fan and yeah I am as pissed off as the next man that we hoof the ball aimlessly and at times cant string two passes together. I too start kicking the cat when Wes or Huth start looking like they have never kicked a ball before or Oka falls over. But all those obvious observations to the side, winning tonight and qualifying for the KO stages of the Champs League is just magical. Forget the prem season woes, just basque in something that Spurs, Liverpool, Manchester United or Chelsea fans wont be doing this season.

Loving it!!!

Nice post..

I live in Germany..and the village are wondering why their cats have benn disappearing in the last 3 months.

And why they cross the road when this st r ange Englishman is seen  walking on their side of the street....

But it bloody helps with my perspective...

Too many silly posters putting us on an unwarranted  Pedestal..We are Just simply what we are...!!

We are becoming worse than fans on the fightingcock forum....

Uefa can't do anything can they? We name our 23 and are well within our rights to play any 11 from that 23. It's shit on Copenhagen but handle your own business and you don't end up in a position like this, plus it's not like we played our best side at their gaff either and they didn't beat us.

Wtf you on about bruv, my response was to whoever about whatever.  But this is the easiest group.  I'm happy to have it and win it, but I can't gloss turds, we are turds.  The performance want from good to shit, that is a concern, and I'm not willing to ignore that

Our 2nd half chances were still better than theirs, plus it was even. King and Drinkwater lost the midfield, but  forgetting

Mine, yours, other Leicester fans squeaky bum moments, I still thought it was a good game.

Like the  end result at Least, even  in considered poor periods we should recognise and enjoy that moment in time..

We cant stay as permanent misery-guts all through the season...A bit of :scarf:feels good..

Anyone laughing at Spurs is deluded we were carved open by a championship team tonight in 2nd half

we are poor at moment and if we don't get things sorted we will be relegated

Huth and Morgan were really old looking tonight against a useless team

that 2nd half performance was scary bad at times

feck Spurs , who cares about them .... and We shouldn't be laughing at anyone

the whole world could be laughing at us come May

worrying times are ahead I fear

we are in a 6 pointer games over next few weeks

The result was great

the performance for last 60 mins was dire

I don't disagree with your points, but F... Me enjoy the moment, we....little old Leicester just qualified into the final 16 of the champions league man! Dilly Ding Dilly Dong!

He played ok - another unnecessary scapegoat for all you everlasting misery guts to take a poke at. We all know just how good Kaspar is but he can't play,,,so why not stfu instead of criticising a competent substitute. The goal was pretty well unstoppable but, of course, Kaspar would have stopped it 'cos he's wonderful and superhuman. But if Zieler  was that good then he'd be pissing off to another club.

Sometimes this forum resembles the contents of some pissed-off kid's diary - The Diary of Adrian Nothingseverquiterightforme - aged 5¾,

Half the world have Never, done what we have, so in May they can laugh at their own hypocrisy.

We werent Dire, we played good football, not forgetting their defending around their own box was solid,

but we ripped them off more than twice, and got round them more than they did us.

We hit nervous periods, late on we lost the midfield, but still had good movement that might or should of also

gave us 2 other goals.

Posters are too critical, and busy chasing negatives..

...........THEY FORGET..THIS WAS WITH NO EXCEPTION, OUR BEST NIGHT IN OUR WHOLE ...132yr HISTORY

Absolutely chuffed we have made the knockout stages but bloody hell we made it hard for ourselves. Them last 30 mins were agony, yes we had some chances but we looked so shit at times and just resorted to hoof ball (again)

Surely someone can come up with a funny Spurs screwing up the coefficient chant!

Just need to break out the old "Are you watching crying Tottenham?"

I had two (realistic) hopes for the team this season. Reaching the Champions League round of 16 was the first, finishing in the top ten of the Prem was the second.

The first has been ticked off with a game to spare. Cause for considerable celebration, I reckon.

Going to Porto will be a real pleasure now with first place in the group sewn up. Couldn't have asked for more. Claudio can pick who he likes for that game. I don't and won't care.

I thought Drinky was back to his authoritative best tonight (after two stinkers) and was hands down our best player - strong in fifty-fifty challenges and, unlike others (especially in the second half), he seldom wasted possession. Excellent.

Naturally delighted. Saw yet another thing I never thought I'd see. Leicester City, Champions League group winners, with a game to spare.

Thought the first half was very good, and dare I say it the only criticism was the fact we only managed the two. Brugge's defending was appalling.

Second half... haven't got a clue what happened. Dreadful. I'm amazed we nearly threw that away. Held on in the end but how we were ever in a position to be holding on I've no idea. We really do blow some fantastic chances.

Thought there were some plusses but Middlesbrough won't be as forgiving as Brugge were.

But ultimately it all went our way again and you need that to go far in things like this. I think 13 points flatters us but I'll take it all day long.

There's something wrong with the Team

Don't get me wrong, brilliant night and what a result.

But when we scored the goals it didn't feel the celebrations were like last year

The Whole Team were jumping all over eachother last season as the ball was hitting the net

Perhaps I'm wrong but it seems they are not as together as the season just gone

Or it could be releaf, I hope so.

The second half was not the most enjoyable 48 minutes of my life, but the 49th minute made up for it :sweating:

Cannot believe we are in the last 16 of the Champions League, as group winners with a game to spare and still dickheads on here are not happy!

For those saying we had an easy group, we earned our easy group by winning the league ffs.

All groups have one top seed, one quite poor team who will lose most games.

Put is into any other group and we qualify.

Be ****ing happy another 60 million in the transfer kitty for Jan too.

Better intensity first half, especially vardy who looked more like his old self.

we changed our mindset at half time somewhat which contributed to the second half malaise once they scored.

got nervous

exceptional mental achievement- we aren't used to European football, no matter what standard the opposition. Lpool and yanited have both shown in recent seasons that they couldn't handle 'weak'  teams and Spurs have done so this.

Do we play the reserves against Porto now?

Don't know if this has already been said but it will still have to consist of the squad briefed to UEFA.

Probable line up:

Zieler

Chillwell Wasil Morgan Hernandez

Gray Amartey King Kaputska (if alive)

Musa Ulloa
