lgfualol Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 What a bunch of morons, but the little bloke in the red jumper is adorable. Expanding on the red bloke, I love that he never throws a punch but waits until people are walking away to push them or does the "HOLD ME BACK HOLD ME BACK" thing while taking a little run up before realising he can not reach peoples' heads.
Darkon84 Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 Absolutely embarrassing from both sets of fans. Either get on with it or shut your mouth and stop thinking you're a big man.

Though it's hilarious when you see them jumping up and down just waiting to be held back by one of their mates. Saw one middle aged bloke kicking a minibus of Boro fans, many of them kids. Waste of oxygen couldn't even conjure up a reply that made any sense when I told him he's an embarrassment. I saw the bloke trying to get into a mini bus. Shameful. I walked past with my 10 and 8 year-old kids and my wife. I thought it was totally under-policed, though.
sylofox Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 Perhaps people should have taken the twitter post a little more serious. Anyone posting crap like that should be knocked. And before anyone says it was a joke no it was not. Even if it was ment that way it insighted a situation. People will always take things like that serious. I would bet most of this is because of WHam. Other fans seeing it and wanting ago themselves. Oh well if it carries on we won't need to extend the ground lol. I do miss the 70's and 80's NOT.
adejo92 Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 Policing football matches are put into catagories dependant on risk. Clubs with reputation or rivalries will be a higher catagory and therefore have more of a police presence. Policing of the Middlesbrough match would have been minimal as theres no apparant risk or rivalry. It is actually the football club that pays for police attendance at football matches and the main 'policing' should fall into the hands of the club itself and stewards. Its a shame there are still idiots at football and i cant help but feel allowing the 2 fans to exit together at the same point is asking for trouble.
Guest Lako42 Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 I have seen trouble at the ground every single time we have played Boro, I could have given the police this highly secretive and difficult to find intelligence but they didn't ask.
foxy boxing Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 I can understand all the fans frustration but deal with it another way, go for a long run, scream into a pillow or do something that will let off steam. we cannot scrap amongst ourselves for the situation we are in. we need to stay united

If two sets of people want to fight let them do it, as long as it's away from stadiums and not in the viewing of families passing by. I hope you aren't as stupid in real life. More ammunition to do what? the job of protecting people who aren't interested in getting beaten up at football matches? And you do realise that is was right outside the ground and in plain sight of families passing by?
SemperEadem Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 Surely Boro are one of the more 'high risk' set of fans. They have a long history of trouble.

The cynic in me has been going for decades and never really understood why fans are funneled out together when it should be known (as in this case) that there is a risk, I understand the fighting away from the ground and ambushing issue.
notnow john Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 Many 'boro fans have a chip on their shoulder, due to living under an I.C.I chemical cloud.

He puts the same kind of photo up every time Boro go away and he riles up hundreds of people like you every other week. There's absolutely no way this has any actual bearing on older blokes acting like twats after the game outside the ground.

I did all that in the 70's and 80's when it was real. Not something I want to see return. But his actions will wind some up. Do you want your kids/ Mrs caught up in it? I for one don't. Ask the family of the baggies fan that died on Halloween in Leicester. He was on his way home from Ipswich. Or was that a joke. That's what happened in the so called day. Not so funny is it. By the way it never riled me he's a dick. And I would never punch a fan because of some dick. But some do would you find it funny if you got battered?

I'm not saying violence is funny I'm just saying trolls on the internet should be ignored. Hence why my ignore list on here is extensive

His actions as funny as they may seem will have wound some up. Now our great club has a slur against it. The amount of it's a joke comments on here. It may have been but it done a job if it was not. Or ended up not funny.

To arrest the people there who I was on about, people who wanted to fight were there... not seen or heard anyone get caught up in it who didn't want to be there. Next time they should be stuck in a cage and left to fight it out if they really want to, to be honest.
Tyskie Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 A scuffle after the football .... boo hoo. Most children see worse on the TV every night

ithuriel Posted 28 November 2016 Posted 28 November 2016 Not really seen any real trouble down at the ground until Middlesbrough turned up. Still, the bright sparks did it where there are plenty of CCTV cameras so there might be a few season tickets soon to become available

Before spouting watered down insults at people I suggest you try engaging that brain of yours. If the police have reason to believe that there will be disorder, or they simply use past intelligence, it is up to them what provisions are made. From the home affairs committee 14. We also heard that it is not clear how much negotiation the chief constable undertakes before deciding the cost to the clubs of policing their event. ACC Thomas assured us that "it [provision of policing] is agreed with the club and it has to be transparent because the club has to have some faith in the system,"[23] yet Dave Whelan said that: We are not allowed to say what category matches are, how many policemen he sends. That is nothing to do with the football club, it is entirely a police decision and we cannot even question that.[24] And in written evidence to us, Scunthorpe United told us that: It is often very difficult, if not impossible to actually see and therefore question the intelligence used by police in determining the categorisation of a match and hence the cost.[25]
TrentFox Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Ten minutes in Boro' town centre tells you that this is a fixture that will attract some total and utter morons. The closest to an 'untamed' city I've been to on the mainland!!! And I live in Nottingham!!
Karljohn Posted 29 November 2016 Posted 29 November 2016 Just another town of Northern neanderthals like Burnley.
