Depends which way you look at it. Murray wins things every year and will continue to do so and has already been recognised twice before by the BBC for spoty but Vardy has come from non league to breaking the prem goal record and winning the prem. Yes winning the prem was undoubtedly a team effort but him breaking the scoring record was down to him. Not taking anything away from Murray, he's a fantastic individual in his sport but should he keep winning it every year?

From a 'sporting' perspective, footballers should not get close to winning these kinds of awards. They are already obscenely remunerated and from an athletic point of view they don't come close to people like Alistair Brownlee, who, on top of all that, made a superb sporting gesture. That contrasts massively to Vardy's mouthing off at Moss and 'Japgate' as well as footballers' general lack of sporting behaviour.

And was a great achievement, in 2015. 

 

If you don't give it him in a year he wins Wimbledon, gets to the final of two other slams, wins an Olympic Gold Medal, Wins the ATP Tour Finals, 3 Masters Titles, two or three 500's and finishes World Number 1 all in an a season where Novak Djokovic, Rafa Nadal, and Roger Federer all remain on the tour, one of which in utterly frightening form for the first part of the season, I don't know when you are going to give it to him, really. 

 

TBH I don't think how many times he was won it should even come into it, if you've had the best year you've had the best year, which he completely and undoubtedly has.

I think the bbc didn't make much of the goal record... it is a feat that will not be matched (owing to squad rotation in the big clubs) - yet is wasn't reflected on and got lost in the interview focusing on the title win.  Vardy would have been better advised to make some big point ... e.g. saying he hoped he would inspire other kids to keep chasing their dream.   Murray's is a great personal achievement - yet the voting may say ore about he Sunday demographic of bbc viewers.... I wonder what it would have been like if we could have voted over a week?

Whoever has been the best each year should win, regardless of how many times they have won previously. 

 

Murray has had his best year, so was a clear winner. Mo Farah should have probably got one of the places really. Vardy did great and if the 11 game run was this year he might have had a chance of a place. Without that though, he didn't really deserve the win due to it being such a good team performance and not a one man win like Maradona for Napoli.

To be honest its a disgrace that the horse bloke or Brownie got in ahead of Mo Farah anyway.

 

I think its mostly England's Euros that stopped Vardy getting anywhere near. Everyone outside football fans and many football fans themselves hate footballers by default and you need to do something like us or Wales or Iceland did to get shown any love whatsoever. If we'd got to the semis and been edged by Portugal with Vardy scoring a few he'd have been up there I reckon. Being dogshit so far this season and not scoring any in the CL can't have helped either though.

 

That said JV got fewer votes than the capacity of the KP so some of you are massive plastic shithouses regardless.

Never going to win it. Murray is an individual who most sports fans like. Every football fan who doesn't support Leicester wouldn't of bothered voting for Vardy and thats a hell of a lot of people. Not rocket science.
