Our midfield sucks a55

Not sure I'm happy with all the Andy King boo boys tonight.

King has never been the top midfielder in any team. Not for Leicester, not for Wales.

He's played alongside Oakley, Wellens, Cambiclasso, Drinkwater and for Wales, alongside Ramsay etc..

He's always been the supportive midfielder. The number two in a central midfield. As as number 2 he's always been OK.

He played some great games only last season when he came in. Less than 6 months ago in fact.

Now he's forced to play alongside Amartey...a player so outside his comfort zone at this level, that King becomes the number 1.

And he can't step up.

Again...the club have shafted us really. To be left with such a threadbare squad of real quality to end up in a situation where King (never the number 1) is partnered with Amartey is unforgiveable. It's not fair on Amartey and it certainly isn't fair on King.

King is not a bad player at all. But he's not a top midfielder for a top Prem side. He never has been and never will be.

We've been unlucky...we signed Mendy and he's been injured. And Drinkwater has his ban.

But given this scenario, to STILL rely on King and Amartey in a 442 is unforgiveable. Claudio...what the fook are you doing?

The Foxes talk faithful will of course not see this. Choosing to just take the piss. But it's true. Andy King is being hung out to dry at the moment and he's not good enough to withstand the pressure that comes with being the most experienced CM in the side. I feel sorry for him at the moment to be honest.

I appreciate what King has done for the club but he should of been gone time ago. He isn't a PL player.

As for the Amartey/King partnership, its a fvcking disaster. We all knew that all it took was for Drinkwater to be out the side for the wheels to fall off and we would crash and burn. We also can't help that Mendy has been out for so long but we should have gotten another midfielder in the window.

You still don't get the point?

How can you say King isn't a Premiership player? He played a part in a side that won the fookin division! lol

What he ISN'T is the number one midfielder in any such team. He's a squad player.

If Mendy doesn't return anytime soon, you watch King partner Drinkwater and look much much better than he does at the moment. He's not good enough to compensate for Amartey

I've said it before and I'll say it again, King works best in a midfield 3. In a midfield 2, he's generally ineffective.

The guy can't step up in this league. He probably looked good last year because of Kante and Drinkwater. He's not improved for years. His play is negative and goes missing so much in games. And there is no doubt that he will look a lot better with Drinkwater instead of Amartey. Also maybe he would perhaps be better in a midfield three but we all know that won't happen. As soon as Mendy and Drinkwater are back that will be our midfield two and we will stick with 4-4-2.

Mendy will not work in a midfield 2 with Drinkwater.

He will work in a 3, with Drinky and someone the quality of Silva.

Amartey is NOT ready for the PL.

Andy King is a waste of a player, he is a good championship player and that is it. Forget his Loyalty, I think he needs to go, he is not good enough

What's loyal about leeching? He must pinch himself every morning!

We need a massive blanket on the pitch because we need cover everywhere apart from Drinkwater we have no class or quality in midfield the only thing we have is young and untested like Amartey and Mendy and it is just not good enough. I'd have gone for tried and tested quality over youth everytime

He's started a few games in our champions league games, seems to of done ok.....

If he should be in our team he wouldn't have been a bench warmer last season.

Told ya so.....

Why the fook did we not get a better midfield in the summer?

Why?

We had money, we had time after Kante left and we did nothing until it was too late, absolutely shameful transfer business last summer, we've completely missed the boat, probably our one and only chance  to try and establish ourselves as a consistent top 6 side, we'll not be able to attract the calibre of player we could have in the summer now we're languishing down towards the relegation zone.

The op must have tunnel vision.

I don't think our forwards are any better. Not going to even start on 75% of our back four.

As I see it we have three safe players. The rest really have to prove themselves.

So Kasper , Fuchs and Drinky can go home. The rest get extra training and return the money they have defrauded from the club.

I would add Shinji to the list
