Everton were crap until they scored. Offered absolutely nothing at 0-0, went ahead from a 1 in a 1000 punt forward and then saw the game out comfortably against a side with little idea of what to do to get back in the game.

 

It stunk of 2014-15 and the defeats to West Brom, Palace and Stoke. Back then we were a naive newly promoted side with a squad assembled for about £20 million. Now we're Champions of England with a squad assembled for £100 million.

Chilwell MOTM easily and Gray tried to make things happen at least. Can't believe Ranieri took him off instead of Albrighton. The rest average. Albrighton and Slimani were dogshit and Mahrez was useless in the time he was on the pitch.

Depends how you score your players but for me, 6 means did their job. Gray can't get higher because he wasn't on long enough. All my top performers got a 6 (bar the MOTM Chilwell)

If anyone gives Albrighton or Slimani more than two out of ten for their pathetic performances today, then the ranking system needs an overhaul. Practically every time either of them had the ball, it was gifted back to the opposition. As it's the season to be jolly, I've been generous and given them one point each (just for turning up).

Albrighton was dreadful today. Slimani desperate too. Should play on the last man like Lukaku did and not get involved in the 

midfield battles. Overall a poor game between two poor teams, neither of which had any creativity at all. Difference was their defence coped easily with our constant long balls. We did too apart from their first goal which effectively meant game over as we were never going to score with that team and tactic. Should've put Musa on alongside Ulloa. We desperately needed some pace today.

This was an inept display against a really poor opposition. These games are the most annoying to lose, when you give teams a cheap win. 

 

Chilwell was surprisingly good (after his Porto performance)

 

Was shouldn't be in the 18, we really need some youth in the centre half department, and someone with a bit of pace. 

 

Centre midfield is very ordinary, last season it was the engine room of our success.

 

Slimani is a very poor purchase who should be allowed to leave as soon as poss.

all clubs make duff buys but summer 2016 looks an incredibly bad transfer window for us.

What shouldn't happen is when the fans knew someone is dogsh&t like Slimani, why is it he keeps getting picked in front of Ulloa? Poor management.

 

Thats why the fans booed the Uloa for Gray substitution, they all wanted Slimani off the pitch. Ranieri got so much right last season, he needs to prove himself capable of arresting this poor form, and picking Slimani is going to get him into a heap of relegation trouble. He is no "band of brothers" player, he is tactically poor at taking up good positions, hides during games, and does token running down of defenders without ever looking like tackling them or hassling them into a mistake. It's easy to see. Take him out of the team please.

I'd never call for CR's head but I think he's screwed this game up big time. The defeat today is on him. The subs completely brought the team out of balance and letting Slim or Albrighton on the pitch was a terrible mistake. Especially when we were 1 down. Gray should never ever have been subbed and if a striker should have let his place then Slim for MUSA.  I'd also never understand why Wasil played instead of Hernandez. 4-4-2 with Slim and Ulloa together was the worst possible combination in the long list of the worst combinations available.

Ranieri - 2 - glad he started Gray but was tactically uninspiring, his changes killed any creativity we had left. Seems to be in denial. I voted stay but he doesn't seem to have plan B. As much as he was brilliant last season, he can't even get through to the players now. It's hard to be optimistic before West Ham game.

Why protect a player who hasn't performed anywhere near his best all season and obviously isn't putting in a shift in training, it should do him some good to realise his place isn't guaranteed and he must up his game.

I never agree with managers publicly criticising a player, it should be done in private. 

 

Personally id never leave Mahrez out. Luxury players like him may have off days and off days in training, but he's capable of creating magic out of nothing. No conincedence that we created absolutely nothing of note yesterday because he wasn't on the pitch.

Wasilewski - 5. He gets worse every time he plays. Defending for their 1st goal was shambolic

Morgan - 5. Was going to be a 6 until Lukaku made him his bitch for their 2nd. At least he looks like he cares

Chilwell - 8. Looks very promising. Was solid at the back and confident going forward

Gray - 7. The only player going forward who seemed to care. Looked exciting on the ball once again

Amartey - 7. Was immense in the 1st half but looked sloppy in the 2nd

King - 5. Had no idea what to do with the ball and did his usual disappearing act

Albrighton - 4. His worst performance of the season. His crosses were piss poor and I'm not convinced he should start next game

Okazaki - 5. Didn't put himself about like he usually does and was ineffective

Slimani - 4. He's just not a good player. He can't pass, shoot or hold the ball up. He gave up towards the end. Pathetic display

 

Drinkwater - 5. We lost our attacking threat when he came on as the formation change left Slimani isolated. Didn't really have much effect on the game.

Mahrez - 4. Why can't he pass the ball normally? Another frustrating performance

Ulloa - 7. Has to start the next game. His hold up play and work ethic goes very under the radar. Would play Slimani's role 10x better

 

Ranieri - 4. There didn't seem to be any game plan at all except cross at every opportunity. Bringing on Drinkwater for Okazaki made no sense and he took off our only promising attacking threat in Gray. He has been absolutely clueless this season.

I think after Chilwell (MOTM) and Gray, out best player by a county mile was Ulloa. Yet again another match where he changed the game when he came on. His work-rate and commitment (both offensively and defensively when trying to pinch the ball back) was superb and he was unlucky with the major chance which fell his way. He has to start the next game with Okazaki.
