Benny :(

Probably will get fingered for this but its mad that we won the league and still have Ulloa starting up front, no matter the circumstances.

I'm amazed by his attitude. No game time whatsoever and so upbeat. Would have liked him to start today.

Assume that you have seen him play recently and think he's good enough?

If the club sold Vardy to China and made say...£50 million on him, would anyone actually be so angry? Recognizing of course that it's a tidy bit of business

Would all come down to who we got in replacement.

If we went and nabbed Lacazette with the dough you would never hear a word of complaint from me tbh.

I would, because we'd end up trying to replace him with someone not as good as him up front.

Heard West Ham have enquired

Yep - rudders is trying to get an aero and a kit Kat on top of the £6-50 offer. Then it will be done. Good that we got more than the £5 buy out clause!

I'm a big Claudio fan but some of his comments are getting a bit embarrassing now.

This morning I saw his press conference clip where he said he was looking forward to the game because it was a 'little team against a big team' or words to that effect.

This is FA Cup 3rd round weekend and he is talking as if a victory today would be some sort of giant killing.

That attitude is not helping with the lack of commitment, the lack of belief that saw us play for a draw at Middlesbrough. How many points did we finish clear of Everton last season and now we're trying to act like underdogs. It's ridiculous.

I'm tired of this frame of mind everyone at the club is got which is basically 'we're shit and got lucky last season'. That's exactly how we are playing.

Time for Claudio to demand more from this group of players because they are capable of much more.

And just on basic principal I don't like him calling us a little club, it's insulting and not really on from your own manager. This is Everton we're talking about, not Madrid. We're not a little club, we're a premiership sized club with a big fanbase and regardless of last season we deserve better than what we're getting at the moment.

I think you need to take his comments with a pinch of salt. He will say one thing to the media but I can assure you behind closed doors he will be telling the players that we can go there and win. The pre match press conference is a game and Claudio plays it very well.

That was fine last season because performances reflected that he was saying something different behind closed doors.

But this season we are playing a like a team that believes it is shit. Sometimes you have to change the game. The players need a different message. As do the fans.

It's no fun being told that we're doing ok.

Stop the press kitchandro doesn't like something

Funny though I've been one of the few not panicking and calling for him to be sacked.

There's a difference between not liking something and being pussies like the majority of this forum.

When you are paying some players 100k a week, surely statements like that are odd. These guys are on top wages and should be performing like top players
