At least Blackburn stuck around for 4 years after their title win before disappearing in to the abyss. Only LCFC can win the league against all the odds and completely **** it up the next year, we will only ever be remembered as the team that wont the title and got relegated!

There certainly aren't many clubs who can go from one extreme to the other like we can. Still, at least we'll be the team that won the title and got relegated, not the team who's never won f**k all and got relegated.

Guest bennytwohats Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Can we just remember that we are 5 points clear of the drop zone. some of you talking like we are already down need to check yourselves. We've got plenty more meltdowns on here before that is the case...
Rialto 290352 Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 There was a one off chance to massively improve the quality of the squad. Bringing as many positions as possible up to that of Mahrez. Not all at once but a few more top class players at a time so it would not just be a case of stop Mahrez and you stop most of the creativity. Yet again nothing has happened. We have gone backwards in such a short space of time. So sad. What is our Director of Football paid for?

Don't think I can cope with all this optimism.
OllieLodge96 Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 Unbelievable that we have not managed to bring in a quality CB as of yet this window. We've known for a hell of a long time that this is where we needed to strengthen. Extremely poor from whoever is in charge and it could be the nail in the coffin
Unclebuck1983 Posted 31 January 2017 Posted 31 January 2017 This hype over signing new players is crazy. It will not solve our woes! The Squad (minus Kante and a couple of editions) is the same as the side that won the premier league 8 months ago, losing three games in the entire season! It is not the players that are the problem in my opinion, we have simply been found out on our tactics and we haven't a clue how to fix it or play a different system. Watching the Chelsea game has to be one of the most worrying things I have seen pitch side. Not a single one of the players on the pitch knew what they had to do, complete confusion to the point where Drinkwater actually shrugged his shoulders swore and gave up after trying to communicate to the bench Asking for instructions, it has been the same every game since. Embarrassing! Im not claiming I know the fix but it has to start on the training pitch with the training staff and the manager getting this "championship" winning team back to playing basic football!!!

Agree to an extent but also think that we don't have the players to try a different system, not like we can switch to possession football or passing or playmaking etc with the group of players we have seemingly shit scared of footballs.
