Remember the hysterics last January when we didn't sign Remy, Musa etc.

Without whom we had no chance of a European place finish.?

Not really..but we won the league anyway

Point I'm making is that last January we didn't particularly need those signings.

Frankly we need them now.

There will be.. Possibly a Scottish Under 19 international winger from Partick Thistle at about 3.45, then the training ground lights will be turned off by 6.30 with no more business on deadline day night

Haha yeah that's the Leicester we know and love. Ulloa to Swansea for 3 quid as well.

The difference is we actually were doing half decent then.

My prediction

£10m on a 27 year old CB who has played 10 games in the last two seasons, and had only just joined his old team 2 weeks ago on a free.

50p each if I am right

We'll sign a 28 year old CB for £9m and let him rot in the reserves. And local journalists won't ask the manager why said defender hasn't played for us for 12 months whilst we continue to ship in goals for banter.

Their problem is they are so bloody secretive about recruitment it comes to their detriment, they just look incompetent! I really REALLY hope they haven't left it until last minute as that would be extremely bad management.

What would be your preferred model? That they pin their list of transfer targets to the wall of the stadium and let the whole world know who they're after? I mean, it would alert all our rivals to our intentions, probably thereby driving up prices and making it less likely for us to sign the players we want, but hey - at least the fans wouldn't be in the dark!

This sounds like most Ranieri signings

I'm not saying that I prefer them to be very public, I was trying to say that because they don't share any information out it looks like they are not doing anything.

How many clubs can you name that 'share information out' about their transfer targets?

Well none will publicly announce "WE ARE IN FOR X PLAYER", but usually you do hear murmurs far long before something materializes. What we are seeing is that at the 11th hour we have suddenly become linked with so many different players. As I said before, I wasn't complaining about how they conduct their business I was merely stating an observation that because they are so secretive it looks as though they aren't doing anything.

With matches tomorrow you have to think majority of transfers will be done today. Can't help but be worried of it being huth and Morgan all season!
