shawy2510 Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 Just shows what a good team Tottenham are this season being able to keep battling back even with 10 men.
Fox92 Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 Still good for us Liverpool out, Brighton out, Newcastle out.
Max Wall Posted 28 January 2017 Author Posted 28 January 2017 Apologies to anyone offended by my sliver of positivity in starting this thread. Enjoying Liverpool, Brighton, Newcastle and Crystal Palace exiting the competition and making our path to possible glory easier should be discouraged forthwith.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 Incredible comeback from Spurs, didn't give up until the very end and earnt themselves a win in the last seconds of the game. I miss that commitment from us.

Bereft of confidence as soon as the going gets tough and the style of play woeful, but i cannot accept they didn't fight for a result last night. They really did, they just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.

I think there was individual fight last night from certain players, but that wasn't carried across the whole team.

Carson was laughing with his luck/our profligacy. I was getting really pissed off with our lack of fight for loose balls and constant hoofing but we were at least the better side for once

Then there's no point me attemping to counter. Many agree with you..........many don't.

Agreed, I said this last night, after sleeping on it and day of stewing today I still stand by it: Quote Claudio looked clueless tonight, I really think he is (and I can understand why, but at the same it's his fault why, he must be at his whit's end). I know we scored last minute to force it to a replay but i'm really questioning desire and if they're playing for Ranieri now, it's getting beyond a joke.

Also agree we were better than derby, however at times you couldn't tell who were the champions and who were championship, so the difference in performance levels wasn't as wide as you'd hope. But we still showed the same careless desire at times as we have in previous games, no one challenging for 50/50's, not trying to win the ball back, no one going for the second ball, players too far away from play and a lack of pressing. I still stand by the opinion that just because we scored an equaliser, it doesn't pave over the consistent problems that have plagued this team for a while.

I agree with what you've posted for the most part. I just thought we fought to salvage the result that's all. The lack of quality was still there and the defence was truly dreadful individually and as a unit but we got ourselves a reprieve. In no way should it gloss over our persistent failings to date though.
MattCan Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 Holy Moly .. did Soton line up the reserves or what?
brucey Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 Schlupp just did his hamstring in vs Man City, likely out for few weeks. Apparently he's been their best player in the two games he's played too, Palace fans are mad at Big Sam for risking and injuring Schlupp in a cup game At least we're still in a better situation than them...
crazyleicester Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 As much as I am not a fan of Wycombe since the Sanchez inspired donkeys knocked us out of the cup back in the day thanks to their teletext player Essendoh, I must admit I was cheering them on today. 2-0 and then 3-2 up against ten men when Spurs had a player injured but used up all their subs and you thought the shock was on. Unfortunately the Cock worshippers came through. As for the shocks, well it is the FA Cup. You get plenty and we would have been one of the favs hence the telly lot inviting themselves to show the game. Newcastle and Brighton losing were both surprises as was Liverpool getting dumped out but they are in free fall. Loads moan about us post Kante but its almost the same with Liverpool post Mane. they look all over the shop without him linking things up and dont look like scoring a goal. When he plays they look like getting 4 a game and they manage to achieve that often.
Super_horns Posted 28 January 2017 Posted 28 January 2017 The shock tomorrow for us would be if we win well given the team we are likely to play. I'd put some money on Millwall if your a betting man/girl.

SIX MINUTES man I hate Spurs as much as the next guy but there is some serious man crush on each and every game they play. a MINIMUM of six minutes
Tuna Posted 29 January 2017 Posted 29 January 2017 The Cowley Brothers aren't a patch on The Chuckle Brothers IMO.
