Although if Ranieri goes I'd be quite happy with NP, it isn't going to happen. If we stay up, how about Julian Nagelsmann, Hoffenheim's manager. He's only 29, took over at Hoffenheim a year ago when they were 7 points adrift of safety in Bundesliga. They are now 4th (on goal difference, and lost nce all season). (He signed Kramaric and he is playing regularly.) Some more about him here:

that would be a decent one tbh, can imagine he'll be linked with many a big clubs in the summer tbh

I'd definitely be happy if we got him. Sadly, though, I'm pretty sure he's being touted as the next big thing. I'm sure he'll get a much better job than this one.

Albrighton played fairly well in our 1-0 win against villa early Jan and then disappeared again. maybe that's what confused his girlfriend.

a bit like us winning at Everton playing 4-3-3 and never trying it again away from home ...............

Roy Keane? Why do you want him?

I like his forthright no nonsense personality. He would shake the whole thing up and players would not be played on reputation. 100% commitment or you are out of the team.

Would love him as number 2 with Martin O'Neill.

Might even be good long-term if he can learn the ropes and take over in the future

Yes agree. Would have to wait until after the 2018 World Cup qualifiers/tournament before they would even consider coming though.

Only reason for Roy Keane is to give the players a right royal bollocking. But the guy lacks any sort of tactical nous - and this isn't subbuteo, you can't just point the players and shoot.

My mate suggested Andre Vilas Boas to me today and I could think of a lot worse. Mancini surely has to be the dream though really, just for banter and he actually knows what he's doing as well.

He would be a disaster and no experience.

Rowett would be a decent one for me, did well at Burton and Birmingham,

If we go into the championship yes,if a miracle happens and manage to stay in the prem-no

lol fvcking hell I've heard it all now lol

The football under Pearson, and I'm in no way suggesting or endorsing NP to come back, was without doubt better than the aimless hoofball we play now.

Probably true, but the post said "than we ever have under Ranieri". There was a time when we played football better than literally every other team in the country for an entire season. Ring any bells?

I am very much in favour of CR leaving because of the aimless hoofball we've been failing at so miserably this season, but there's just no need to write off his achievements.

Agreed. There's a good reason nobody wanted him as manager. With the exception of O'Neil who wouldn't come, what a miserable bunch of prospects have been suggested. And people thought Ranieris cv was dubious! If we were relegated and they did sack him, I think Rowett would be a refreshing choice but Villas Boas hahaha what a laughing stock we'd be, serial failure!
