Doubt he'd come here but I'd like Chris Coleman.

Irrelevant though as I can't see Ranieri getting sacked even if we lose every remaining game.

Please no!

Matt I agree the players do need to turn up and play but we don't understand

why there not kicking a ball after last season.

Think any song would help build a better atmosphere to at least to try and play for us

Maybe managers fault could be players paid over odds now and no players capable of replacing

the crap on the pitch from the bench,i think we needed fresh faces after winning prem

so we could show same desire and fight to go forward and win again just my opinion m8

were all fighting for the same outcome..

Can't have been much worse than what we're serving up now. My train of thought was somebody who could galvanise the team and knock a few heads together.

Whether the board decide to sack Ranieri before the end of the season or not, I seriously hope they are drawing up a contingency plan behind the scenes.

Whether we stay up or not, he SURELY has to go at the end of the season (if not before!)

Knowing Leicester, they will sack him and spend weeks without a replacement. Getting rejected one manager by another...

What a farce we have become :(

We will draw in Seville and beat Liverpool just you see - the thought of anyone on that list is enough to make you cry so pray this happens and we don't get rid of the greatest manager we will ever have for one of those clowns.

This is the part that the rabid pitchfork wielding flaming torch bearers miss.

People suggesting Michael O Neill need heads checking

its shit thinking like that got us some right duff wankers in the period from Taylor to Pearson

Get a world class coach in

Agreed, I remember Lawrie Sanchez doing well with NI and then doing nothing since.

There are some great tools at Leicester to really push the club forward if we can get a quality ambitious candidate in. I don't really have any names but someone like Wagner if he's all he's proclaimed to be.

Paddy Power have released some odds for who will replace Claudio.

https://sports.paddypower.mobi/#sport/115/competition/7483/event/11855500

5/1 - Pardew

6/1 - Pearson

8/1 - Grant

10/1 - Warburton

10/1 - Rowett

12/1 - Lennon

12/1 - O'Neill

16/1 - Monk

16/1 - Taggart

20/1 - Stam

20/1 - Bradley

22/1 - Hodgson

25/1 - Powell

25/1 - Megson

25/1 - Klingsmann

25/1 - Izzet

33/1 - Ramos

33/1 - Keane

33/1 - Giggs

A few more after that!

Surprised Hodgson isn't at shorter odds, remember our owners have appointed Sven and Claudio and approached O'Neill a couple of times.

I'd expect it to that kind of manager a respected "known" figurehead, so from that list Grant, O'Neill, Hodgson possibly Klinsman or Ramos

Why is the thought of Nigel Pearson enough to make you cry? I know many aren't fans of his, but are you saying he wouldnt improve the team over what it is now? You can't honestly lump him in with the likes of Pardew and Megson

This contingency plan (in full).

Vichal:  Can we get Mr Bielsa or Mr Hiddinck?

John Rudkin:  No.

Vichal:  How about about Martin O'Neill?

JR:  I could try him again, though he threatened to have me beaten up last time. This Huddersfield manager looks good.

Vichal:   Would he come?

JR;   Err......no. I was just throwing him out there as an example.

Vichal:   What is the use of you?

JR:   I'm Director of Football.

Vichal:   Could you do the job?

JR:   No, I'm perfectly happy being Director of Football. I don't need more death threats.

Vichal:   How much money do I pay you?

JR:   That's classified.

Vichal:   You are starting to irritate me. Are there any other international class managers out there?

JR:   Yes, loads.

Vichal:   Would they come?

JR:   No.

Vichal:   How about Mr Mancini?

JR:   I did try him. He laughed and put the phone down. At least he didn't say no. That means we can put him on the shortlist.

Vichal:   How many names have we got on the shortlist now?

JR:   One.

Vichal:   Is there anybody you can suggest?

JR:  If we pay Trillion Trophy Asia five million pounds we can get to talk to Gianfranco Zola.

Vichal:   He's an internationally known football figure. I know that. I remember all those goals he used to score for Arsenal.

JR:   That would be Chelsea, sir.

Vichal:   Would he come?

JR;   Undoubtedly.

Vichal:  Really and truly?

JR:   Yes. He's also based in the Midlands, giving him an unparalleled view of what Midlands fans like to see from their team. I would say he is perfect.

Vichal:   If this goes wrong, I'll threaten to fire you.

JR:   Oh, sir, you are a card.

Vichal:   I'm serious. Go out and pay roughly twice the amount it will need to get him in. He'll like that.

I think Pardew is probably streets ahead of Pearson - he can just about manage a team (although his Prem team where way worse than this lot at this stage a couple of years ago) and given four or five attempts could probably get a team out of the Championship again but I think his personality defects have tainted him for most clubs and I'm sure whatever went on between him and the owners/board here when he got the bullet means he won't be coming back - top be honest he is the least likely to get a gig here of possibly anyone in the world - I'd say Sven has more chance (now there's a thought )

Since Ranieri has destroyed everything, We need an Arsene Wenger type manager who knows how to run a club. If the rumours are true and he is done at Arsenal, would be great to get him.

not that it will ever happen.

That's as hilarious as those who thought we could entice klopp when Nigel was sacked!

Pearson can just about manage a team - he's the guy who turned the club around from our lowest ever position, built up the facilities and sports science etc., cleared the dross, pretty much built the squad that won the league, and who finished 14th with us in the first year back in the top flight for 10* years.

I can understand why people don't like NP but to try and argue against what he achieved is mind blowing. And by saying that does not take away from last season.

We are way worse now than in that first season we came up, also consider the budget we have now compared to then.

Pardew has shades of Ranieri in the sense he makes a positive start wherever he goes but then it all goes tits up in the end.

We have to be looking for someone who can last!

Please note I never said I thought it would happen. Given the mess Ranieri has gotten us into, the point I'm trying to make is that we need a manager who can actually manage a club, not just a coach.
