Sly Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Paddy Power have released some odds for who will replace Claudio. https://sports.paddypower.mobi/#sport/115/competition/7483/event/11855500 5/1 - Pardew 6/1 - Pearson 8/1 - Grant 10/1 - Warburton 10/1 - Rowett 12/1 - Lennon 12/1 - O'Neill 16/1 - Monk 16/1 - Taggart 20/1 - Stam 20/1 - Bradley 22/1 - Hodgson 25/1 - Powell 25/1 - Megson 25/1 - Klingsmann 25/1 - Izzet 33/1 - Ramos 33/1 - Keane 33/1 - Giggs A few more after that!
Kitchandro Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 It's a less attractive list than when we'd just sacked Sven.
adejo92 Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Shiiiiit dude, i was quick to slag off Claudio after that Milwall result but this thread and the thought of him going make me sad. That little confused face with those lil glasses. Ah man, tear to the eye.
Vacamion Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 It's time for our best manager to return. Come on down Gary Megson at 25/1.

Blue ROI Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Not a very inspiring list. .Said it earlier in the week that Michael O'Neill of Northern Ireland might not be a bad option for next manager.

It's just the World Cup year which is the problem for any international manager. Wouldn't put it past Northern Ireland to qualify either
Thracian Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Some pretty wretched options there. It makes me even more fed up about our situation. Our club needs someone special - I mean informed, aware and invigorated. Not just a brilliant man manager but an analytical and inspiring coach, someone with up to date knowledge of the best talent around and the ability to evaluate their potential contribution to a given situation but also a man who can think and plan ahead for the future and nurture truly capable people to grow with the club and take ever greater responsibilities within the organisation. Also a person who can work with ease among the media and in such a way to provide information, and through that service, effect a degree of support from those people. Media journalists feed off stories and so long as they get enough they won't normally be destructive, unless you give them no option. The key is to provide different stories or, failing that, different angles to the same stories so that everyone gets a pat on the back from their bosses. The media can be a friend as well as an enemy so better the former when times get tough. The coaching set-up needs to be evolving with new ideas being tested all the time alongside the tried and tested. In the end though the club needs to develop and continually work to improve on a playing identity, an attitude which makes the teams enjoyable to play for - positive teams that try to score goals and lift supporters off their seats. Brave teams with the nerve to win things. The fans need to be included in evolving the mood of the club and to understand what they're being asked to support and why. They need to feel and to be a part of it. Can I imagine all the above and more from people on the bookies potential manager list? No. Yet this is Premiership football we're talking about or aspiring Championship football at worst. It makes me genuinely sad and for lots of reasons. I'd sooner have Dean Thomas than some of that lot.

st albans fox Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 The op sums up the problem - which one of those (the feasible ones) would get a reaction amd save us? Got to hope that claudio and the players sort out their sh*t
splinterdream Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Wheres that clip of Pardew doing a dance

It's funny, I'd take Pardew now but only if we sacked him in the summer.
Sly Posted 18 February 2017 Author Posted 18 February 2017 Stam has done a half decent job. Liam Moore can defend now.
foxfanazer Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 If we get Pardew or Hodgson I'm honestly done
Sly Posted 18 February 2017 Author Posted 18 February 2017 All in all, not exactly an inspiring list. I'd say it's worse than before we appointed Claudio.
