Pearson can just about manage a team - he's the guy who turned the club around from our lowest ever position, built up the facilities and sports science etc., cleared the dross, pretty much built the squad that won the league, and who finished 14th with us in the first year back in the top flight for 14 years.

I can understand why people don't like NP but to try and argue against what he achieved is mind blowing. And by saying that does not take away from last season.

We are way worse now than in that first season we came up, also consider the budget we have now compared to then.

You're missing what I said - I don't think he has a chance even if he was any good - I'm not sure he built the facilities or was big on sports science but I guess we'll never know - I think you may have a short memory though....this is a guy who wouldn't play Albrighton in the team because his girlfriend said Thank God on twitter when he got fake fired, was plugging away with David Nugent and Leo up front while Vardy and Drinky sat on the bench - you think he was mind blowing but seem happy to dismiss winning the Premier League and being last 16 of Champions League as ho hum........

Would that be the Vardy and drinkwater who were woefully out of form and didn't offer anything better than what was on the field at the time? As for albrighton - he wasn't playing before that and came in at the end of the season - the story was his fitness and rings far more true that your claim. Your vendetta against the man is utterly baffling.

You can find links online to see how we developed the sport science side  http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/26943611

Vardy had plenty of chances under NP but wasnt the player he was last season, and Ulloa was actually decent for us in the first season. I'm not dismissing last season, I see it as the culmination of a lot of things. Last 16 of champions league, let's be honest it wasnt a hard group and we prioritised it at the expense of the league. Not saying it wasnt an achievement but would we take the points in the league now over the champions league? I think we would.

OK - it will be good for me if NP comes back as I feel guilty ragging on a nice fella like Claudio for being shit - Pearson is such an arrogant **** though it is quite good fun - thinking about it let's get him back.......

Not as baffling as people actually seriously considering him coming back tbh

This job would have to go to Shackerstone, as I like to call him, right?

Another one who loves a good press conference more than a good performance on the pitch.

Can't see NP returning. While we will never know the circumstances of his leaving 2nd time it seems likely there was a serious disagreement with the owners.

He really isn't though is he? which one of the two went to visit Birch in hospital (I'll give you a clue it wasn't Claudio)

You seem to have an issue with strong personalities, I bet you hate your boss at work.

On the list in the OP, only Rowett and Monk look like attractive options for me.

Perhaps Wenger or Benitez will be available in the summer? Failing that, the Hull manager Marco Silva has worked wonders there and actually has a very good record with Olympiakos and Sporting.

Although if Ranieri goes I'd be quite happy with NP, it isn't going to happen. If we stay up, how about Julian Nagelsmann, Hoffenheim's manager. He's only 29, took over at Hoffenheim a year ago when they were 7 points adrift of safety in Bundesliga. They are now 4th (on goal difference, and lost nce all season). (He signed Kramaric and he is playing regularly.) Some more about him here:

The reluctance to delete the video he had on his phone played a part I reckon!

Go on. Tell us. What is it that makes you hate Pearson so much?

Albrighton wasn't in the team for a long time after he first joined, so do you know that was the reason, or is it guess work? Vardy and Drinkwater were in terrible form at that time, much like they are now. I thought it was common knowledge how much he and his staff did behind the scenes. Never heard or read anyone question that before. That's new to me.

Pearson is one of the greatest managers we've ever had. He improved us every single season he was here, if I'm not mistaken, and he was here a long time, as far as manager stints go. From our lowest ebb in the third tier to Championship play-offs in shortest time possible in first stint. Then from Championship mid-table to 14th in PL in second stint. How can you possibly hate him?

I'll never understand it, especially after seeing how much you admired Sven for doing the square root of fvck all here, and how you're sticking up for Ranieri as he tanks us now. Can't you see that we were an extremely well-run club, and that now we're an absolute shambles? Doesn't that tell you anything at all?
