I blame Wellens Posted 26 February 2017 Posted 26 February 2017 The atmosphere will not be toxic. It's not foxestalk. The fans will get behind LEICESTER CITY FC the greatest football club in the land. Always have been and always will be as far as I'm concerned.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 26 February 2017 Posted 26 February 2017 I hope everyone inside that ground goes doolally wap and gets behind those 11 snakes/heroes pitch. Whatever you think of them, they wear our colours.
maddog Posted 26 February 2017 Posted 26 February 2017 Get to half time 0-0 and look full of fight and energy and the mega atmosphere will come. Players need to perform though, this atmosphere malarkey works both ways.

I remember seasons of dross in the 80s and 2000s and there was still a bloody good atmosphere 'at times'. Your team does not have to perform for fans to generate an atmosphere. By definition you are fans=fanatics and u love your club and show that love no matter how pants they are. Or maybe not...

You'll be able to cut the tension in the King Power with a knife, and an early goal would go a long way towards getting the crowd involved and believing in a victory. This is always important, sure - but tomorrow perhaps more than at any point this season.

There will be an atmosphere regardless of course, and I will be cheering them on. It doesn't work both ways from no fan cheering if the players are crap to all the cheering if they are decent. But one does still affect the other is what I meant

I've always hated all other clubs and all the pundits. They all jumped on the Leicester bandwagon last year, they all went on and on about Leicester being their '2nd Team'. Now, they all want us down. Well **** 'em. Whether you are furious Raneiri was sacked, or you are glad he's gone, or you're somewhere in between, let's get behind OUR Leicester. WE own this club, we have been there through everything and we'll be there long into the future. Let's show the world that WE are Leicester. Sing your hearts out for Leicester tomorrow. If you are worried some of the players have been holding back, well just sing the generic Leicester songs. Personally, as an old git I will forever be grateful to Raneiri for the rest of my life. I've seen some highs (The Bloomfield years and the O'Neill years) and plenty of lows. But last season was the greatest year of my 56 yr life. He has also left with such dignity, he is a true gentleman. BUT LETS SHOW THE WORLD TOMMOROW THAT LCFC IS OUR CLUB. SOD THE MEDIA, SOD THE PEOPLE WHO LOVED US LAST YEAR AND NOW HATE US. WE ARE LEICESTER, NO ONE LIKES US, I DON'T CARE! That there is our chant for tomorrow
spacemunky Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Some of us who just started cheering for LCFC last season are still doing so.
Guest Col city fan Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 Dunno why, but here's how I see Weller in tights when we score this evening
Raw Dykes Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 If it is a toxic atmosphere for the rest of the season, then I think we're definitely doomed to relegation. I've already said it, but I think there's too much assumption going on. A lot of people seem to be convinced that Ranieri is a saint and the players are all cvnts who betrayed him. Do any of us know this to be a fact? Is it not possible that Ranieri simply wasn't up to the task this season? Maybe the players are mostly at fault for this season, maybe it was Claudio. Either way, while we've still got a chance at survival, isn't it best we give the players the benefit of the doubt and get behind them until we're safe or that chance is gone? The players have been attacked from all sides, and it might not even be warranted. The last thing they need is for the club's own fans to get on their backs, surely? The most important thing is the club. Let's not forget that. Relegation will most probably ruin us. Let's give ourselves the best possible chance of avoiding it. If you want to boo the players over rumours or petty vindictiveness, then that's your prerogative, but don't be shocked if people question your loyalty. Are you a fan of the club, or a former manager? You don't have to love the players, but don't forget that they are the only ones who can keep the club from disaster, and it is possible that they're not to blame. Imagine how you'd feel if you lay into the players, we go down, and then it's revealed that there was no backstabbing - that in fact they'd done nothing wrong. We might have survived, but Leicester fans believed the shite wrote in the papers and made their job that much harder. We're the only people who might be on their side at the moment, so it's for the good of the club to pretend you're backing them, even if you find it difficult.

Harry Kane wore our colours, didn't stop people having a go at him for being a lazy arsehole, and it's the lazy attitude they've shown so far that's got us this low - if they again start like they don't want to be there then I think the goodwill will have run out.
Guest Lako42 Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 I'm normally very vocal at games, but at this moment I don't think I can truly get behind the players. This isn't because of some bullshit mutiny, its because they have been insulting this season, and the manager has mainly lost his job because of performances on the pitch. As fans the players have received nothing but support in every single game this season, which considering we haven't scored this year is astonishing. If we see another abject defeatist performance by the same old suspects then I think its at the stage where they need to know they are mugging all of us off. Its not bad support now, its a matter of voicing feeling. We'll see what they can do tonight.

Gerard Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 My message to anyone whose going to the game tonight and plans on singing for Ranieri is DON'T BOTHER COMING. If you feel that strongly about it then go and hold a candlelight vigil outside his house or something whilst the game is on. If you truly care about the club then we need to close ranks and create a siege mentality that we're all in this together. Support for Ranieri will be a message of disapproval of the owners and players. We need to get behind the lads more than ever to give them that extra motivation to get us out of this mess.

Isnt there a banner going to used thanking Ranieri? if this is the case then i'm sure there will be a lot of singing for him.

The banner is fine as it just says "Thanks Claudio" in Italian but singing his name is akin to booing the players and owners.
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 We're used to adversity; administration, La Manga, Ticketing scandals, Bangkokgate, relegations including Div 1 and so many shite teams do the decades ....... this could well solidify our support to really get behind the lads

Even if you don't agree with the Ranieri sacking you must at least understand it. Getting on the players and owners backs tonight isn't helping anyone apart from our relegation rivals and Sevilla.

Personally I think it is fair enough to sing for Ranieri as a mark of respect before the game perhaps but during we should just all get behind the team its up to the individual but that's my thoughts personally
Guest Lako42 Posted 27 February 2017 Posted 27 February 2017 We don't heavy any songs without his name in them, I think we sang 2 songs in Seville, neither make any sense without him. And to be fair, the players do deserve what they get tonight, whether that's support or voiced displeasure, time for them to man the **** up and do the jobs they are paid to do. I am fiercely anti booing, but people have reached a point where the players can't complain if people make their feelings known, they have lost that privilege at this stage. I think I'll have my quietest game tonight, my choice and nobody on here is telling me not to attend.
