I'll be honest, this story has been bothering me since I read it bit I've had a couple of Friday night beers over the football and just seen this latest update about him being admitted to hospital. I'm now just hugely angry. I'm a dad. Imagine if that was your kid. It's just plain wrong. I don't care who's to blame, I want it sorted asap.

Your can have a different opinion but we don't always have to be flag waving.

IMO I think Toddy did go off on Kopf a bit there over what is largely semantics, but do you really believe, here and now, that a sitting government of any kind should be refusing this kid his medication in this case? I honestly don't see the complexity - there is no precedent, no stream of potheads waiting for their fix if this happens. This is a kid being killed by bureaucracy for its own sake.

Webbo Posted 15 June 2018 Posted 15 June 2018 When my mother was dying of cancer I heard that cannabis oil could reverse/slow down tumours. amazon was selling it, although it was meant to be a horse grooming product, I guessed that was just for legal reasons. Even though she had nothing to lose she wouldn't take it because she didn't think the doctor would approve. I can totally understand why desperate people would do anything in these situations.

Webbo Posted 15 June 2018 Posted 15 June 2018 Amazon does sell cannabis oil https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_6_12?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=cannabis+oil+for+cancer&sprefix=cannabis+oil%2Caps%2C161&crid=1BBB3HSM5WFMV perhaps there's something different about the stuff this kid needs.

I believe there's an active ingredient which is still illegal in this country but not the states. The can ibis products available hear does not contain this ingredient but it apparently makes a huge difference to the effects of the oil.

I wanted to react to this but none of them seemed at all appropriate. We argue too much about shit that doesn't matter. I respect this response a lot mate.

It's to do with the THC (the psychoactive bit) concentration. It's banned if its above some level. Hemp is a variety of cannabis that has low THC.

You'd think so given other drugs used recreationally manage to be available on prescription. Having said that we have a PM (and doubtless most of cabinet) that screws her face up at the mention drugs, gets in a flap that anyone could dare question the laws, and who genuinely thinks drug laws work, so I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Popular Post thebartonfox Posted 15 June 2018 Popular Post Posted 15 June 2018 Our cannabis laws are a disgrace as this case is so painfully illustrating. If any good can come of this situation let's hope it prompts a review. As a medicinal user of cannabis I can say with confidence that it can be incredibly effective relief for range of things. People are suffering because of our outdated views while others are criminalised for seeking an effective medicine. It needs to change. 6 2
ealingfox Posted 16 June 2018 Posted 16 June 2018 Yep, enough evidence on the table to make significant changes now. Even if you want to stay away from going full legalisation there's a whole lot of good you can do. The UK is the biggest exporter of legal cannabis in the entire world. I'd put it to anyone out there, given that that is a fact, can cannabis really be that bad?
