I still think one of the cleverest nicknames in football is Neil Warnock's : Colin

I assume Pieman was Gary Taylor Fletcher.

Not sure about Sharks.

Clarence (yes a reference to Daktari) was the boss-eyed Trevor Benjamin.

Hot Dog Kid was goalkeeper Russell Hoult. He made his debut after being called from the stands (whilst eating a hot dog) in an emergency when our regular keeper was a very late pre-match withdrawal.

I was going to say Sticks, Woolett the bullet and 'Killer' Feeley but they've already been mentioned.

So I'll go instead for Captain Fantastic, Bruno - and I can't believe no one mentioned Rooster (or perhaps I missed it?)

Weller.........................God

And in a certain time in my life that was my nickname for the man in Bloomfields Wonderful World of Football

Ps: You beat me to the Wise nick names........... Who I just called Little Shit.

Why? Can you expand?

As I remember he had a very powerful shot on him. Many of his goals were screamers. Very underrated player, and a great buy at the time which was one of my all time favourite City sides.

Yes thought that was probably the case as he did have a really good shot on him. But was wondering if it was a reference to his exploits off the pitch with the ladies!
