old koppite Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 I've just found above recording from the sky broadcast of the whole game , including before and after the game ( 180 minutes tape). It plays all the way through, with a few lines occasionally but that could be the old machine I've played it on or just needs heads cleaning. Ashamed to say I'd never played the tape before ( a mate had recorded the game). Some great scenes of our fans. Anyone got a good home for it, for a fair price and postage? Please pm me. Sorry mods if this isn't allowed - if not , please remove immediately .

I was there, Leppings Lane end (0:29 - when Heskey hits the post, above and just back from the Union Jack in the black jacket). You can also see Pearson leading them out of the tunnel at the start of this footage. It seemed louder than Wembley had been and a much better atmosphere. Best of all the the League Cup finals but beating Derby in the play offs seemed much sweeter. That, and the scenes against Palace are my most cherished memories prior to 2015/16.
Guest Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 Amazing that Jamie Lawrence was on the pitch at the end - don't remember him still being around the squad at all!Remember watching the first leg down the Dominion in Glenfield with my dad. Must have watched the replay there too I guess.

Fox92 Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 Doubt it really. You can get it on DVD. I bought them all when they released them as a package like a decade ago.

At Wembley there was a real nervousness among the City fans as they were expected to trounce us, yet in the replay they're wad a real mood change and a genuine belief we were going to do it. I was in the lepings lane end too, the atmospheres was amazing. The Scenes at Palace in the semi were fantastic. Over 8000 of us down one side of the ground crammed in standing and rocking all match, probably my favourite away day.

I went to that...I had to be at school the morning after but saw my Maths teacher a few rows in front, he just smirked at me. Didn't get back until 2.00am. Horrible ground to get to but well worth it! Simple Simon Grayson.

We drove down and on the way back, the fog was horrendous, could barely see 10 feet in front of you. I was initially refused entry because I was just finishing off a can of Red Stripe, steward had it in for me. I just went to the next turnstile!

Collymore Posted 3 September 2017 Posted 3 September 2017 That kit was one of the worst we ever made I think. The logo felt like a giant piece of cardboard down your front and it looked like something out of a horror movie when it started peeling after a few washes.

I think it's one of the best - still have an original shirt and it's fine. I know what you mean about the Walkers billboard on the front though. For a Fox Leisure product, it's weathered surprisingly well. Worst we ever made? You have obviously erased that Jako 'Tops Tiles' monstrosity from your memory.

Went with a Wimbledon fan and on way home he mentioned date of final and I realised would be at a wedding in Ireland. Pre budget flights so no option to fly home. Gave my tickets to Wembley away sadly but all worked out well with replay. For hillsborough I had tickets on the aisle where they walked down with trophy so shook many a hand on their way down

Absolutely loved it, until my dad boil washed it I threw a monumental tantrum, as you'd expect!

Yes it was but it ranks up there with the all time Leicester classic matches for me. What an atmosphere at Selhurst Park that night. Will always live in the memory.
